Phone a dealer & try to place an order if you wanna hear someone laughing at you !!!

Was at a dealer trying to order a 230 vrs this morning. No can do. Likewise for a 220 superb, no indication of when the 245 will be available to order either.

Very helpful as usual

MY 19:

- Virtual Dash £450 option, not on base trim.

- All diesels get ad blue

- mfsw replaces phone button with a view button.

- GPF

- Some only engines replaced with new.

I think an in armrest usb is standard too depending on model/trim.

where you get this info

I won’t name names, as I am not sure I should have seen it.

I was looking to order and was told car would be an MY19, so asked if the differences.

Those were the ones I remember.

I remember that there was no mention of any new colours and that some of the high spec trim levels for some models got a few toys like extra usb in the armrest.

I ordered my MY19 car last week and the information above is near enough what I was told. The 1.4 tsi is dropped for the 1.5 tsi, digital dash is confirmed as I was able to add it to my order, and no colour changes. Was also told additional stone protection what ever that is supposed to mean! The exact changes can’t be far off being confirmed as shut down of the factory is only 3/4 weeks away!

Edited by Nescafe1

Stone protection is plastic vinyl type strips on the leading edges of the rear wheel arch area.

Hopefully not black plastic! I hope it’s body coloured, I hate the black plastic around the bottom and wheel arches on my current car!

Current versions have clear plastic strips on the paintwork. Black plastics suggest a Scout?

The digital dash is great, I got a severe pain in my rear end with the lack of info, and jumped to an already built Cupra 4Drive where it’s standard, great to be able to change it around

Nobody actually mentioned it being black plastic apart from the poster above you, who seems a little in the dark with regards to what we’re talking about.

Simpson’s Skoda in the north West have started posting details about the MY19 VRS 245 on Facebook today:

“The new 2019 model year ŠKODA Octavia vRS will come with a 2.0TSI 245PS engine as standard.

The black design package is now standard specification, which includes a gloss black grille surround and wing mirrors.

More news as we have it...”

They have it showing a 245 in all Black

If, as is rumoured, the Kodiaq VRS has the 240ps bi-turbo diesel engine, wouldn't it be great if the Octy VRS had it as well

Skoda UK post on Facebook. Was exactly the same as Simpson’s post.

If if I remember correctly Simpson’s and Bickerton Skoda asked if they could share the post.

I simply cant believe they would drop the diesel VRS

Just asked the questions and Simpsons Skoda posted this reply on fbook

the 184PS TDI engine will continue to feature in the 2019 model year vRS line up.

They don't currently have an engine that'll pass the new tests, the only ones that do use pigs **** to do it & VAG say they no plans to increase the range that pig **** diesel engines go into.

Right now, Skoda just ain't grown big enough balls to tell the public

Why? Surely the main market for the diesel VRS has been as company cars, and I think many company car users  will now be looking at plug-in hybrids for their (undeserved) major tax advantages.
