TD Pro Race 1.2 SOLD

Featured Replies

Now Sold.

I am selling my 17” Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels.  The reason for selling is that I’ve bought a set of 18” wheels and despite wanting to keep the TDs, I don’t have room to store them.

These wheels are quite rare as they have the correct centre bore of 57.1mm.  Because of this, you don’t need spigot rings and they go straight onto the car.  The offset is 45 so they don’t need spacers to fill the arches.

The tyres are Uniroyal Rainsport 3, and are the OEM spec of 225 45 17.  Two of the tyres are brand new and I only had them on long enough to drive home.  I took them off the same day to put my winter wheels on back in November and they haven’t been on the car since.  The other two tyres have about 3mm left so all four wheels are ready to go on the car.

When I bought the set, one wheel was boxed incorrectly and didn’t fit.  I bought them new direct from the Team Dynamics factory and they were good enough to make me one wheel to replace the incorrect one.  I was told at the time that they don’t make many with the 57.1mm centre bore and that to have one wheel made to these specs was a bit of a rarity.

The wheels are very light.  I weighed a 17” Zenith wheel & tyre and on our scales it registered as 23.5kg.  The TD wheel & tyre weighed 17.5kg on the same scales.  This saving in weight is very noticeable when driving and the car handles so much better than on the stock Skoda wheels.

You can see from the photos that the wheels are in pretty much mint condition.  They have been on the car for about 5k miles so do have some slight marks, but I am being picky.  There is one wheel with a very small mark on where I caught a kerb.  It has been touched up with matt paint and you have to really look for it when the wheels are on the car.  The wheels have been stored in the house since they came off the car in November and were treated to a couple of coats of Poorboys Wheel Sealant at the time.

As you can see from the original label on the box, the wheels are 5x112, 57.1 centre bore, ET45, 8.0j 17”.

Ideally I would want £000 for the set but as always with these things, I am open to sensible offers.  Having priced up a new set of these with tyres then I reckon the price is in the right ball park.  Prices start at around £900 for wheels, tyres and a fitting kit.  I've attached a screen shot of what the wheels would cost from a reputable seller without the tyres.

The wheels are located in Scarborough.  They will come with 20 bolts so that you can put them straight onto the car.

PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Andrew.

Edit : The wheel with the slight mark on is the fourth wheel down and is at about 10 o'clock next to the 'M' on TEAM .

Love these wheels. I keep thinking about getting a red set for my Abarth but don’t know if I’m feeling brave enough to be that bold :o

I love them too as they transformed the handling on the car.  As I mentioned in the advert it's storage space that's forcing my hand.  I've already got two sets of winters tucked away upstairs for both cars.  The TDs are tipping the Mrs over the edge!:D

As for the red wheels, I'd say you only live once and if you think it'd work then go for it!

Will these fit my 2014 FL Superb?

I pretty sure they would fit your car.  As I mentioned in the first post, they have the correct centre bore so will fit straight on.

I had a quick look on this website https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/superb/2014/ and one of the options was the same tyre size as on the TD wheels.

Skoda Superb 2014
225/45ZR17 94W 7.5Jx17 ET49 5x112

Hope this helps.

It's been a while since I posted the original for sale ad.  We've had builders in over the last couple of months so selling stuff hasn't been on my radar to be honest.  Now that a few bills have come in, I am quite keen to make a deal with someone on these so feel free to make me an offer.

The wheels have been tucked away in the spare room so look exactly as they do in the photos.  If you want any more details, just let me know.

Hi Pee, if you have an Abarth then you have to get some red wheels, not bright red though.

We're in the process of decorating at the moment and as much as I like having car parts around the house, I have to agree with the Mrs that the wheels don't match the new colour scheme.

I am reluctant to put these on Ebay as they are perfect for someone on here with the correct centre bore etc.  If anyone is interested, pm me and see if we can work something out before they go up for sale anywhere else.

Would anyone be interested in these at £475?  We've decorated the room they were in and wheels are definitely banned from there now.

Hello.  I'm not sure which Fabia you have.  If it's a Mk1 vRS, then definitely no as they are a different stud pattern.  I'm not entirely sure what a MK2 Fabia's pdc is.  They tyres might also be the wrong size and therefore put your speedo reading out.  If you can find out what stud pattern you have then I might be able to answer your questions a bit better.

IIRC The Fabia Stud pattern is  5 X 100

If he has the Mk1 then you're right as they sometimes run the 17" Spiders on the Fabia.  I'm assuming they won't fit.
