Read through this thread and wondered if anyone has ever compiled a list of part numbers of what will and won’t fit?

 

My car is a 2016 Superb 190 L&K diesel.

Don't think the Octavia wheel is compatible - the buttons are different.

i think the buttons are interchangeable between wheels reading this thread. That wheel has long gone anyway.

That's right, but only if you already have paddles. Buttons from a non-paddle steering wheel don't have the extra connectors needed for the paddles.

Everything I’ve read everywhere suggests that if you change a standard wheel for one with paddles, the paddles just work, no extra wiring etc. 

 

The only time extra wiring is required is if you’re adding a wheel that is heated. 

 

Others correct me if that’s incorrect, I’m just struggling to know what wheels off of other models will be a straight swap. 
 

Would be lovely to a list of if you have a Superb III then wheels from xxxxxx will fit as a direct replacement.

I retrofitted a flat bottom steering wheel with this part 565 419 091 E BGW

 

My factory one was 3V0 419 091 S CWE.

 

Plug n play as both were DSG version, and same buttons.

No heating.

Do you mean your pigweed already had paddles?

I’m on here for help so please don’t think he seems to know better all the time 😂 as that is not the case. 
 

I feel if the same number of switches/rockers are identical on each wheel regardless of the symbols and functions it will work as it is just communication on the bus? The bus doesn't know what the symbol is, it just does the same function as before?

MY17 Superb 220.

 

If by "pigweed" u mean steering wheel - yes, as per my post, my original had DSG paddles already.
