Still no build week!

My 2.0tsi loaded on the boat & making its way here! I'm told 2to3 days to get to UK port and possibly up to 14 days after this to arrive at dealers, can anyone verify the times stated as it seems real quick to me.

    FINALLY.

  • You’re mostly correct, I just spoke with Skoda and it isn’t yet in the UK.   They did say that it’s not approved yet, but they have started shipping anyway in anticipation of approval.

  • I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.   Your first sentence reads to me that once the engine is WLTP approved, then that's the end of the process, it's ready for certification.

If all goes well it can happen in those timescales. 14-21 days to get the dealer from the docks is typical.

Mine got to the dealer in around 6 days post dock, so you may be lucky

Well I'm booked in dealers March 1st pick up, can't see this not happening now, only 32 days....

I’ve ordered an SEL with the 1.5 DSG. Deposit paid 2 weeks ago. I’ve just been told the estimated build week is week 15 so I’m probably not going to see it until late May or maybe even June

haven't they just reported an issue with the 1.5?

It's much more pronounced with the manual gearbox, but has been documented on the DSG too...

I have a loan Kodiaq 1.5 with DSG from the dealer today, as they have collected my bear for some warranty work. On the two drives I’ve had in it, I haven’t seen any issues with Kangaroos, though it doesn’t seem as smooth changing gears as my 2.0.

Wow, after waiting forever, my car was built last Monday, arrived at Emden last Tuesday, set off on the City of Rotterdam last night and arrived in Newcastle this afternoon. I’m guessing another week or so to get to the dealer and then I might hear from them. Think Skoda are trying to make up for lost time! Almost redeemed themselves...almost!

@moondevil

Impressive if it does that 0-62 mph with 5 adults on the way to weight watchers & then onto the airport with a full tank of fuel and their luggage in the boot.

Something I am pleased about with the new 2.0TSI engine: According to the configurator, 0-62 is improved by half a second!

But.... what's the mpg like? I'm seeing 31 combined? if that's correct likely to see 24/25mpg around town?

Dirty bear finally in its cave after 9 months hibernation.

@mlohnork

Beautiful car and sweet garage - congrats!

How do you like the «new» 2.0 TSI?

Thanks! I received it 26 hours ago, so have not been driving alot yet.

But gearshift is more smooth than my mondeo. The kodiaq does not start to drive slowly when you remove your foot from the brake. My mondeo did that... I have to get used to the difference and the speeder response.

I have not put the pedal to the metal yet, but I believe it is a smooth cruiser, not a racer. More silent at lower speed than my mondeo. About the same at speed around 140 km/h.

I dont have drive mode select, but maybe that option can turn it into a racer. (probably not)

If You want to move fast out of junctions etc, it is definitely capable of doing so.

Overall i am happy and looking forward to get on the road this weekend for further testing.

I have received the first kodiaq compliment from a stranger.

DSG? And as in it doesn't move at all...? If so, that sounds like you've got 'auto hold' turned on. Otherwise it will creep forward when you lift your foot off the brake, just like any other auto.

So it can just be turned off?

Without losing "hill start assist" or what it is called.

Yes - hill start assist is always on and cannot (as far as I know) be turned off. The auto-hold is separate and controlled by the button next to the handbrake.

But do I have to turn that off everytime then? I'll test it now.

No, it remembers whether it is on or off, even after you’ve turned the ignition off (and back on again).

After being a little sceptical of Auto Hold, I now love it and keep it turned on all the time.

What makes it great for me is the ability to control if it engages or not simply by how hard you press the brake pedal (mines a manual).

It's a shame it holds the brake lights on, if it didn't I'd use it more, but understand why it has to.

You were right! Strangely i dont remember that the auto-hold button was with yellow lightning earlier... But on and off, and now it moves slowly. Thanks!

Maybe every button has to be pushed at least once to work properly.

I like virtual cockpit.

I am also looking forward to experience the ventilated seats in the summer.

I have read some other user experiences with ventilated seats, but mostly in other cars. It was very mixed reviews.

But the cooling effect in mine is very obvious.

I have them on my Superb. Brilliant!

Unfortunately Kodiaq sport seats cannot get ventilation option, I am going to miss it very much.

They feel quite nice.
