Still no build week!

Featured Replies

The dealer is probably sat on loads of stock of the blue GB / EU strips and is keen to offload them as quickly as possible :D

    FINALLY.

  • You’re mostly correct, I just spoke with Skoda and it isn’t yet in the UK.   They did say that it’s not approved yet, but they have started shipping anyway in anticipation of approval.

  • I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.   Your first sentence reads to me that once the engine is WLTP approved, then that's the end of the process, it's ready for certification.

Skoda today confirmed a build week for my Kodiaq ( 1.5 petrol seven seater in black)  as wk beginning 20th May. With build taking two weeks and delivery  within 4 - 6 weeks. Hopefully Skoda have allowed themselves  a generous estimate and the car will arrive earlier than their estimates.

If you are UK based then you should see it by the end of June.

Hello shyVRS245. That would be great. When I originally  placed the order they told me i was looking at the end of July,  possibly beginning  of August!

Yeah they seem to be delivering Kodiaq's much quicker than the delivery times dealers are quoting to customers and rush on to finish MY19 production before switching to MY20 after the usual 3 week summer break at the factory.:)

Mine is still unconfirmed for next week - 1.5 petrol, 7 seater too, but in petrol blue.

24 hours until delivery, time goes by slowly now.

Not long now BGB!!

Having never got a new car before, it would be interesting to know, apart from a visual inspection of the vehicle, what do other people check / look out for when collecting their new car?

thanks

Make sure all the options you ordered are there!  Also, try to use as many features as you can over the first 2 weeks, as if there are big issues you are under law able to return the car if you are not satisfied.  After that, it will just be warranty repairs.

Crouch down at the front and rear of each side of the car and look down the line of the car.

These cars are parked up *very* close to each other at the various compounds; door dings are not unusual on a new car.

I used to drive for a delivery firm that had to deliver stuff to a warehouse at the back end of Bristol Port Company......trust me, these brand new cars were sat there with about a cigarette's paper width between them.

There's quite a lot suggested here

Delivered - couldn't be more happy. What a car! All letters on the rear is removed, makes it a lot cleaner.

Is that the Velvet Red?

Looks very nice (my order is in that colour and, I'm told today, it's on a ferry bound for the UK).

This is Velvet Red Metallic yes and I can not stress this enough, OMG this color is as pretty as it gets IMO. Now the lighting in those two pictures are horrible so they don't do it justice. Just wait and see ;)

Took delivery today but could have taken it last week

Congrats - looks good. Glad I went for that colour too (fingers crossed for the build next week being confirmed).

Enjoy the theatrics with the cover - will definitely take my 6 year old along to do the reveal.

Got the same week, same color and engine here, a DSG Edition with quite a few options.

Here's hoping the same for me, haven't heard anything from my salesman yet. 😞
