    FINALLY.

  • You’re mostly correct, I just spoke with Skoda and it isn’t yet in the UK.   They did say that it’s not approved yet, but they have started shipping anyway in anticipation of approval.

  • I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.   Your first sentence reads to me that once the engine is WLTP approved, then that's the end of the process, it's ready for certification.

@macbun @JasperVelders the Viking Odessa has moored at Sheerness now, I think I've tracked this ship more times in 3 days than I've spoken to Skoda since placing our order! Its so easy to 😁

I have been telling the wife that its really the kids that are interested  were the ship is 😉

Mine is still in Emden, and assuming it’s going to Port of Tyne, there don’t seem to be any scheduled arrivals from Emden in the next week 😩

the closer it gets, the longer the wait would appear. Sadily i think about another 10 working days or more before we get anywhere  near the cars!

Mine arrived in the UK on 17th May and arrived at the dealers on 28th May.

No contact from them as to when it's available to be collected though 😟

Hope you can collect it soon. Long drive ahead though across the country.

Yeah, I am *not* looking forward to travelling halfway across the UK to collect......in fact, the only silver lining about the whole thing is how much I'm looking forward to driving it back home.

Just wish DriveTheDeal had a wider network of dealers.  Having said that, mine and my wife's Fords were both bought through them, were from two different dealers and both involved very disagreeable journeys to collect.

I guess if you want silly discounts you hve to make sacrifices 😬

I'm in the same position. Mine has arrived in Grimsby, enroute to Lincoln, which is 150 miles one way for me. However, Carwow discounts were so good couldn't turn it down. Hoping to get it in the coming week :) . Ordered so long ago, it's going to be a surprise! (September 2018)

You ordered nine months ago and are only now thinking about taking delivery?

Jeez, I must have got really lucky with my build (28th March order, built and in the UK by 17th May).

Why not? It just means you have to drive halfway across the UK in your new car to get it home. No better way to get used to your new car and give it a nice gentle run-in.

I live in Gloucestershire, and bought from a dealer in Newcastle (and just to make things even better, picked it up at the tail end of snowmageddon last year - but that just meant the roads were empty both ways!).

Yeah, ordered at precisely the wrong time 2.0 TSI Scout with a load of options. Got delayed by WLTP. Luckily VW finance coughed up a Q5 to run around in in the meantime.

Mine arrived in Sheerness on 28th, no idea when it will be at the dealers, but hopefully soon!

Just picked up my Kodiaq! So that was 14 weeks from order to driving it.  Mind you, the showroom fixtures where missing, so will have to go back in a week to get the running boards, rear mud flaps and mats.  Will get some pictures up once they are done.

Anybody know if ships from Emden make more than one stop in the UK? There doesn’t appear to be any ships schedule to arrive at the Tyne in the next week, but there are two vehicle carriers from Grimsby.

Congrats! Will be interested to hear what the running boards are like (and what price the dealer does them for).

Nice one, enjoy the car

My car is on its way to the dealer, they hope to get it next week, and then they need to do an inspection. So hopefully I'll be able to pick it up in 2 weeks time.

Exciting, did your dealer tell you this or Skoda live chat? I've not asked for an update since it arrived in Sheerness.

My Yeti landed at Grimsby, my Kodiaq arrived at Port of Tyne and transported to Scotland, so it looks like they don’t always go to your nearest port.

Ah, ok thanks!

I asked the dealer, they've been better with communication since the build week.

Mine was in Sheerness on 17th May and reached the dealer on 28th (so eleven days).

I still haven't had notification from the dealer that they've received it, yet alone that it's ready.

I'm hoping they're backed up with work and not that the thing has some damage that they're repairing on the quiet 😒

Another forum out there says PDIs don't take any more than a day tops so I'm beginning to assume my car has been bashed about.......guess who's taking a bodywork expert with him to the pickup (when it actually comes about)?

The slightest hint of repair on a new vehicle and it's a reject jobbie.

What have they said when you’ve asked them?

Ordered in April and just heard today  it's in Dublin port. Should be at the Dealers next week. 2.0 TDi Style with some extras.

Wow, that is quick!
