Still no build week!

Congrats - looks good. Glad I went for that colour too (fingers crossed for the build next week being confirmed).

Enjoy the theatrics with the cover - will definitely take my 6 year old along to do the reveal.

I *really* do hope my dealer doesn't do all of that nonsense; I have a bl00dy long roundtrip to collect and return home, I just want to get in and get out as quickly as possible!

    FINALLY.

  • You’re mostly correct, I just spoke with Skoda and it isn’t yet in the UK.   They did say that it’s not approved yet, but they have started shipping anyway in anticipation of approval.

  • I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.   Your first sentence reads to me that once the engine is WLTP approved, then that's the end of the process, it's ready for certification.

I was there well over an hour...

Anyone know if I should have 2 umbrellas? There wasn’t one in the passenger front door

Yes, there should be two umbrellas, one in each front door.

Wasn’t sure if the car was too low down on the model range to get two!

Even SE Superb's get 2 brollies. I had a 2016 model.

So my SE still had an unconfirmed build week for week beginning 20th May - ie today.

Seems odd to me that it wouldn’t be confirmed by now - but Skoda customer service say this isn’t unusual. Anyone else had anything like this?

hello Hendohimself

i have an SE L on order . contacted  skoda on line last week and they confirmed  a build week of this week. They would appear to be more in the know than the dealers.

Just kerp trying  with them and you will eventually  get  that important  update.

all the best

I found online chat and there Facebook messenger chat to be far more informative than the dealership.

I agree with @Kmscully Skoda chat is the best way to find things out. I have been on chat every week since I ordered in March. Just last week had an unconfirmed build date of week 23 from Skoda chat, funny though I am now on my third order number!!!

Also I have found that the info given can be misinterpreted so far I have been told;

The dealer has exceeded their quota therefore the cannot go ahead i.e. they have sold too many Kodiaq's

The order has been cancelled by the dealer

The order has not been entered correctly by the dealer.

These guys have up to date info but sometimes they can get their knickers in a twist.

Thanks everyone.

The Live Chat people said this morning to ask again at the end of the week to see ‘if there had been any movement’, although a previous chat person said their system only update once a week. Who knows?!?

One thing is sure they will get your order processed with an unconfirmed build date before week 29 when the factory is shut for MY 20 swap.

Be patient...says he who has been on chat about 10 times!!!

Hooray - mine is finally being built as I type!

Dealer just confirmed ours has been built and is on a train on the way to the port! Hoping for end of June handover! Ordered first week of Feb.

Liggy  Congrats  on that.

What was your official  build week for this (just asking to see what the time between build week and on route to port was)

Hopefully  you might get it a bit sooner  than the end of June

Build week was this week, W/C 20th May so bang on what was originally quoted

Cool, need to ring my dealer to see if mine was built this week as well. What engine and trim did you get?

1.5 TSI DSG SE-L in Petrol Blue

I’m a little bit surprised, with such low prices why are so few ordering the 190 TSI?

I went for the 1.5TSI DSG Edition with quite a few options added, because I preferred to have the options rather than the bigger engine. Also, I liked the 1.5TSI, so didn't feel the need for more power.

Mine too - left the factory yesterday and is on the way to the port!

Mine to!! Skoda on line say it takes 2-3 days to get to the port in Germany. Then to allow approx 3- 4 weeks for delivery to showroom.

repeat entry

Their time scales seem to be very much on the cautious side. I was told ‘up to 2 weeks’ for the build and it took 2 days, so fingers crossed. Also hoping as my dealer is only about a dozen or so miles from Port of Tyne it might get there quickly.

My VRS is sat in the compound at Sheerness (and has been for a week).

Hopefully it will move soon, Skoda Live Chat (who were very good) told me it was all about "allocation slots" which I assume means they wait until they've got enough Skodas to fill a transporter going somewhere close to my dealership (and those closeby).

@macbun @Liggy just checked via live chat and mine (and presumably yours) are still in transit to the port.

Thanks for the update Hendohimself. Sadily I thought they would all be sitting at the port by now!
