What part of your car would you like to change?

Are you seeing this shortfall at all speeds and in all situations?

The pattern should adjust according to conditions, area and speed. My manual says that "the system will automatically operate in the following modes: urban, extra-urban, motorway, rain, fog, adjusting the lighting direction of the headlights for road illumination on bends."

I am not sure what the Sportline comes with re light systems but on my L&K  the systems are also affected by what setting you have in DCC.  e.g. the dynamic cornering of the headlamps only works in sport mode (or if set in individual mode of course).

My observation is that the AFS system on the S3 is the best illumination I have had on a car. I do, however, agree that sometimes at slow speed or in urban areas it can feel a 'little short' on distance and the switch back up to full high beam spectrum (I have the shadow tech system) can also feel a bit slow sometimes.

It does change according to conditions and I have the lights on sport in the individual mode and it does turn around corners. It’s just too low for me in dipped in all situations. It’s worse on slowish roads.

Full beam is totally fine.

Hmm, I picked my 220bhp up on the 1st of June and it's on Bridgestone potenzas..

Lucky you:).

The creaks - plastic creaks everywhere

Boat likestandard suspension

Noie insulation - complete Absence of

Standard Seat comfort

I'd have Volvo seats

The seats in my S60 were unbelievably comfortable. I did Reading to Newcastle non stop and got out like I’d popped to the shop. I can’t imagine feeling that fresh after 4 hours on my Sportline seat

- Side Mirrors are too small (Blind Spot helps here)

- Should have headrest similar to the Passat (adjustment in and out as well up and down)

- El cheapo carpet, needs a better pile (is this one of the ways they cut costs)

- Better seats (I'd rather sit in, than sit on), my previous 2017 Volvo V60 R-Design had the BEST seats!!!

- A sunglass holder would be great (I have sunroof)

- Would prefer full LED rear tail lights, premium lights like what was in my B8 Passat would be good too!

- Starter Button in the center console, another cost cutting measure by leaving it in the steering wheel shroud

- Pull out 12volt socket in the rear is a silly idea (especially when you have three (3) kids across the back)

- Rear wiper for the hatch N/A in AUS market

Almost nothing the car is just perfect for me.

However there is just one thing, I wish it was 25mm wider then I could get my stock boxes in three abreast instead of two!

Otherwise perfect, no faults, no rattles, no creaks or any other problems whatsoever from the day I bought it. (sorry, there was something,  the cable that releases the backrests came adrift but a bit of evostick soon sorted that, so trivial it's hardly worth mentioning.)

Oh, one more thing that has occurred to me that I would change - the fact that the automatic rear wiper (at least in the Combi) comes on if the front wipers are on for more than 30 seconds. The rear doesn't even get that wet so I just end up with an awful sound like a tortured Chewbakka every 20 odd seconds in the boot on rainy days. I'm perfectly capable of operating the rear wipers as and when needed. I don't need them to be done automatically, thank you Skoda. :envy:

Any way I can change this?

It depends on the sensitivity setting you have selected, on the lower settings the rear wiper does not come on at all.

Hmm, really?

But still not useful if I need a high sensitivity on the fronts. Even in heavy rain like today the rear might need a wipe every 5 mins, if that. The auto operation of them just isn't necessary.

Anyway, thanks, I'll try it.

Horrible yellow bulbs in the boot and in the glove box will be replaced ASAP.

Love my L&K Estate but my slight gripes:

1. Got rear parking sensors but no reversing camera as standard.

2. Leaning deep into the boot means getting your leg close to the rear bumper... which means the sensor under the rear bumper activates and closes the boot on the back of your head!

3. Blind spot thing that flashes orange in the corner of the mirror is too close/similar to the indicator flash at the edge of the mirror. Would be better if it was red. I find myself triple checking which light it is every time I indicate to overtake! Is it safe... or not?!

4. Could do with autodipping side mirror to show the kerb when reversing. I'm sure my old Mk1 Superb Edition 100 had that back in 2005?! (Maybe it does have it, Maybe I just haven't set the mirror thing correctly?!)

You can enable this (at least in my L&K) using Car - Settings - Mirrors and wipers. Then set the mirror adjustment knob to passenger side, put the car in reverse (ignition on) and set the dip you want. Put it back in neutral or park and press the seat memory and it should work.

Note - it only works if the mirror is set to passenger side and stays dipped until you are moving forward at (about) 5mph+.

You can switch the rear wiper auto feature off in the software menus then just push the switch arm when you want to activate them.

Thank you! Yes, I think I’ve done this now.

But it’s not so clear in the menu.

Love my L&K Estate 2016 but my slight gripes:
Allmost full spec
I don't have
1. Skoda Connect :( Is it possible to install it or is it only factory build?
2. Reversing Light upgraded to 35W LED but still in the A$$ bad light for reversing
is it possible to have a
nother cassette  with removed things that cover the bulb?

3. Is it possible to use ODBeleven to upgrade to Sign recognition? ( have front cameras), Line Assist and more

4. How to not get the caravan hook not to have rost when inserted under the bumper.

Useless Columbus sat nav, poor DAB in the last year, crap carpets, useless air conditioning.

Skoda connect is only free for first year. After that you have to purchase an annual subscription.

Look out @MartiniB you have a rival!

Not much. I have long legs and memory seats can't be programmed to all the way back. There is about 5cm that I have to always push back with button when starting to drive.

Carpets, 18.000km and drivers side carpet is already broken all the way through under my gas pedal foot.

Navigator - it would be nice to be able to change font size. They are quite small.

I had the same problem missing a sunglass holder.

Ordered this. It fits. Not perfect but certainly good enough.

If I could, I would add:

- Virtual cockpit (not available, when I signed the purchase order in Q4 2017)

- Phone box

I would switch for

- Meteor grey painting (instead of Moon white)

- Complete Sportline rear bumper diffusor.

- A TSI 280 engine, instead of TDI190 (not available too, when I signed the purchase order. Indeed, my Superb was already on the assembly line, when I ordered it) :giggle:.

And I would remove :

- The Electric Panoramic Sunroof (had water leakage troubles on my ex Superb Mk2 with the same equipment. I had to replace the whole sunroof chassis : ~2500 €:sweat: ! I cross the fingers so that it doesn't happen again on my Mk3).

The terrible ride on my rapid suspension. Its the only let down.

I wonder why so many people complain about suspension. Suspension is the most perfect part about this car for me. I drove with many different cars and Superb just feels Superb when it comes to suspension. I can easily compare my Superb's DCC to A6's Air suspension (drove 2015 for about a month in December). The "softness/stiffnes" part at least. The groaning and knocking part is terrible let down....

What would I change:

- I can't get used to the clutch on 190 TDI (manual) so I'd switch for Auto immediately.

- AWD

- Would love more noise insulation, for this priced car its quiet but its nowhere near Audi A6 (I got some extra done my self but its not there yet)

- 240 BiTurbo TDI if possible otherwise 190 TDI is pretty cool, low consumption good torque, quiet engine at high speeds (I hardly hear engine at 200km+ - Autobahn)
- Acustic Windows (no one told me it was available with MY18 model, online configuration didn't had it available)

- Virtual Cockpit (kinda loved it when i saw it first)

- Quartz Grey not sure why on this one, Lava blue is really really nice color but its just every scratch is super visible. Even those done with nails on door handles... It also gets dirty super fast and in summer its super hard to get car cold

Kinda listed a lot :P but spec/function wise I'm very happy with the car. The downside is issues, which I have so many... Also really crappy dealers solving issues takes sooo long. Car is now 17 months old and I still have few issues and few new arisen like leaking coolant, knocking sound in front suspension (was fixed once), some weird dashboard rattle (I fixed it once but seems to come back some times), knocking sound in passenger's head rest (weird right?) and broken steering wheel sensor (ODB error keeps coming up) and probably more I forgot. I was also very unhappy with the way doors were aligned. But that would be easily solved if any of dealers would take their time and properly align all the doors again... Sure they would have to "secure" (repaint) door holders but why not??? When I got the car the alignment was soo off that I could hear air coming inside car like window was opened... In the end I fixed that my self because dealer never aligned doors as they should...

But overall for this price this car is really great... The next best thing would be used A6/BMW 5/Mercedes E. But those would be used with maybe lied history... I'm just let down by issues/dealers (changed 3 out of 4 in my "acceptable" radius).
