Got maps working on the virtual cockpit retrofit finally, and got the TV tuner retrofit finished with all the aerials etc properly wired cleanly

Either staging mode needed to be turned on on module 17  or some "ability to switch maps" setting needed to be off on 5f, changed those things after I was given a copy of admaps from a good factory oem vc superb to compare against.

It will be the ability to switch maps. Thats needs to be off for Columbus and on for amundsen. 

Replaced the front washer nozzles with the Passat fan spray variant

 

All was well till I used the rear washer only to find the fronts squirt a small amount of water onto the windscreen whenever you use the rear

 

 

Annoying. Put the old ones back on, and I can see they do the same thing with less force so it doesn’t end up on the visible part of the windscreen 

Just a late evening wash last night after the heat of the day had settled down. Off down to Devon for the week soon, so always nice to have a clean car for the trip.

Thanks, I used to have a lot more time to spend on detailing, but family life has swallowed all that extra time.

 

I used to have a Renault Sport Clio 182, it was in a metallic black, I reckon I washed it twice a week, had time to apply Poor boys black hole show glaze to it most times aswell!

I finally got around to using the autoglym ceramic HD I've had in the garage for a year! I'm fairly impressed as applied, let's see how long it lasts.

They are simulated from Superskoda. The truth is that the quality is quite bad, they are all plastic and for the price they have they could be chrome.

My kinda luck that too.........a time ago had a piece of debris flick up from the car in front and punctured my fuel tank, vehicle instantly cut out and 70 liters of unleaded (I'd filled up 10 miles earlier) had to be washed away by the fire brigade.

Dang!

Had it lowered last Wednesday.  It now looks better, drives better. Should have it done earilier.

I test drove my first Superb Sportline today! Very nice… apart from the crap SMART repair down 1 side. 
 

But I’m hooked now. 
 

What’s your suspension setup?? Still comfy?

I've just cleaned mine for the last time.. it's being collected by BCA tomorrow... :-(
