MOT day today. Pleased to see a simple fail and immediate pass following adjustment of the headlight aim. This was with the LED bulbs fitted.

Chucked a bucket of water over it. Three hours later this is the result.         Happy with that

Heute war TÜV-Tag. Erfreulicherweise gab es zunächst nur eine einfache Beanstandung, die nach der Justierung der Scheinwerfereinstellung sofort behoben wurde. Die LED-Lampen waren bereits eingebaut.

@petertr That fuel you have in your tank is likely Summer Formulation Petrol. More Hydroscopic than what is getting delivered in the next few weeks in Scotland and the North of England within the next couple of weeks and further south eventually and until next March. Often not an issue, as there are vehicles in Dealerships that might even have fuel in from Summer 2025. But forewarned is forearmed. EDIT. My stupidity. I mis-read. Thought you had a PHEV and a tank of fuel. Not that the CrossClimates are good, giving Tank Like mobility. Small Point, really the CrossClimate 3,s are OK, not that great though in Snow. But size / Tread depth dependent. I have had 3 Previous Cross Climate Versions on vehicles. The SUV ones were worst.

I just spotted this, and was very confused lol

Yeah, its an iV, I only tend to have 1/3 a tank of petrol in it as I do 95% of my driving on the pure EV side (10 mile commute, with free charging at work - so I rarely use the petrol engine. But the missus is away in it for the weekend, so no doubt it'll come back empty on Sunday!! Might try to eek it out a few weeks then and get the winter fuel. I knew about this with diesel's (my last 2 cars of 8 years), never knew it was a thing for petrol too.

I had the original Cross Climates on my Seat Exeo, loved them - in the snow they were amazing, I remember driving around stuck 4x4s LOL

I was assuming the newest models would be at least the same, if not better - no?

Having monitored the battery for a few days, consistent low cranking voltage has lead me to decide to replace the battery.

IMG_1187.jpeg

I went for the most reasonably priced with the longest warranty. £140 with 4 years for a Duracell from GSF with free next day delivery. All fitted and coded and faults reset. Date code on the old battery was 2019 so it had done pretty well!

IMG_1189.jpeg

Disappointingly the voltage on the new battery is lower than the old one! I would have thought they get shipped fully charged but it would seem not.

So the charger is on to give it a bit of a top up. In hindsight I should have charged it on the bench before installing!

Good that you catch it right on time ... 9V at cranking you very pushing it 😉

Yes she wasn’t very happy starting! I’ve got some work trips away and I didn’t fancy coming back to the airport car park in the early hours to a flat battery!

@Binx1310 With the new battery, you can now use the electric auxiliary air heater if it gets below 5 C in your area. I think it kicks in if it's below 5 C, your battery has more than 11V and HVAC is on Auto. It's a nice feature when it's cold outside )

I don’t think I have it 😔

Ahh maybe they don't ship it in UK? I'm not talking about the Webasto or Eberspacher ones, but about the electric heater of the small coolant radiator above the pedals. I think it's also called PTC or auxiliary air heater.

I think it was optional. I’ve only seen it listed on adverts for l&k models.

Last speaker swapped out this evening. I thought I was doing it preventatively but one tap from the hammer on the punch to knock out the centre of a pop rivet and the magnet fell off the speaker! Hopefully these will last a good while now but I have a spare just in case and have got it to less than 30 minutes to swap them out. Even in the dark with a head torch!

Finally got a rear bumper on the car with the Reiger diffuser attached.

It’s unpainted and I think new on that basis, although looks rough as has no doubt been kicked around a warehouse for years but painting will have to wait for now.

Reiger diffuser looks good.

Cheers Will - although have found that while the parking sensors work, the virtual pedal isn’t responding. I wonder if it’s quite sensitive to positioning and the diffuser has it sitting at a slightly different angle etc

Got to try out my new boot light, fairly impressed

It’s a direct replacement courtesy of a rental car, company played me about bit, so swapped my old warm looking rechargeable torch, that’ll teach em 😂

Very jealous. I came to the forums too late for @ApertureS to be doing the cool white upgrades. Was it from a newer Skoda? My father in law has a new enyaq, I wonder if I can swap it without him noticing…

Also another thought. If it is OEM does it have a part number on it. I wonder if they can be bought from Skoda?!

You missed your opportunity when yours was in for the work!

I think it should. Just have a look on ifinterface.com and compare the P/N of your own one and the P/N from a 2023 FL version (the latest manufactured Mk3).

This tempted me once. But as I have good relations with my dealer and the whole team. I thought it wouldn't be fair... I've kept my yellowish torch light.

Mine is 3T0947417B. Looks like it goes up to E. I’d be keen to know your part number @Danoid it’s on the inside under the battery cover. Mind you it’s £80 odd from Skoda so swapping might be the best way of getting one!

It’s borrowed from a VW, won’t put the full model

Part number is 3T0 947 417 F 9B9

I can get a clearer picture tomorrow if needed

Thanks for that. Found one on eBay for £30 which is slightly more tolerable than new at £80 odd but now know what vehicles they’re from so I’ll keep my eye out…
