Reversing Sensors (another one!)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have an '09 Roomster (which I love), and am having the seemingly common problem with reversing sensors playing up. Put it in reverse, goes beep, goes beep again and doesn't work.

However, I have checked all the plugs coming off the main harness and got 1 corroded pin changed. I have also changed all the sensors and the problem is still persisting. Now instead of getting a blank screen, I have the car image and no indicator bars coming on.

I have put an OBD on it and am getting no fault codes, so now I'm at a complete loss.

Sorry to drag this topic up again, but if anyone can help I'd be very grateful.

Cheers.

I'm sure a generic obd fault code reader would only give you engine faults. You need to scan with a VW specific reader. Is there somebody near you with VCDS, have you looked at the owners map

I've had to swap out a couple of rear sensors in the rear bumpers and VCDS identified which one had failed on each occasion.
