  • 245 looks lovely and the stealthy black look is great but I won’t have people trash talk Citigo’s, ours is awesome     You should have at least 1 flip key with a Citigo above S s

  • Option 1 for me. Option 2 looks like you’ve badged it a vRS yourself.  Reminds me of the guy round my way who owns a Mercedes C180 AMG BRABUS SPORT TYPE R GTI.

  • Got the car detailed today and had some scratches removed. Received some parts from Superskoda so started to fit.   First full set of rubber mats for cab and boot. Then changed the foot rest

How much as the insulation?

Do you recommend it?

It's not essential. I bought to tidy up bonnet and hide the metal structure. Will be a little easier to wipe clean. Only been on for less than a day but I used to have one on my MK2.

Some say it muffles engine vibration a little.

I think it helps in winter when snow and ice on bonnet. Engine warms insulation and snow melts off whole bonnet quickly.

Cost me £28.

Mine sounds more like a cable slapping against metal. Or like the window or door is rattling when going over small bumps or hard right turns. OR the belt tensioner is activating off and on. Really hard to tell when driving. Just hope when Skoda pull my interior apart their super careful! It's certainly put a dampener on my new car experience.

I was think soundaktor sounded quiet compared to a DSG 245 I test drove. Mine only becomes lively in 2nd and in high revs. Was planning on having Skoda tell me current volume. It's very annoying this isnt a feature we can control ourselves.

On my Skoda Yeti I got a similair sound when I drove over a bump or railway crossing.

Skoda found out that they forgott to assembly a small bracket  for the brake pads

Very nice car mate

What about the inlet manifold cover? Essential addition to a TSi IMO and should have been standard. Although my TDi is a noisy old tractor the engine bay isn’t overly unattractive and it’s all covered up :D

Now you got me googling "skoda inlet manifold cover"

Front camera and power monitor installed. Recording while I'm parked sorted.

Got it as close to mirror as possible while being clear of glass hatching paint and mirror sensor. I had to allow room above to be able to slide camera off and on mount + room for angled adaptor. It's well over due that manafactuers allowed factory fitted camera mounts.

Rear camera to come when I work out what panels I can remove without breaking them. Certainly put together better than the MK2 which is making it more of a challenge.

This is the one

Google EA888 inlet manifold cover and you’ll find it. Go to TPS and get one and the stud to hold it in. Makes the engine bay look much more finished :)

Thanks. Couldn't see on TPS site?

I've messaged Mike @RPS  for a price. Other sites selling both parts for £45. Sound about right?

This stud right? It's a self taper so I'm OK to screw it in with a spanner/socket?

Also I noticed these two sections on the left underside of the cover dont rest/mate on anything.

Same Viofo A129 I installed about a month back or so & exactly the same position as mine B) Its a fantastic camera, front & rear especially for the price.

Anyway follow @JohnnyType2 guide, that’s what I did, very simple & you will get no DAB inference either, I run the cable down the left side (facing boot/open boot)
