Hahaha....very true....I think i am not set on sticking with original OEM tips as they are black so look really well. The exhaust I am going for is a sports catback so around 200 cell I gather, not sure if I should remove the two back boxes or if that would just sound like noise....however I dont want to come away having only gotten a marginal noise increase.

Do you have any videos of how yours sounds ?

No still waiting for the induction pipes. This is holding everything up as full exhaust, Airtec intercooler and induction kit ready so very frustrating but will upload sometime in October.Been waiting 4 weeks for the pipes so far.

ohh wow you are going all in....Ireland is a pain with insurance....if we so much as touch anything on a car the insurance is basically void.....or you tell them and they don't understand and just say that'll be an extra 2K please

I've just swapped out my sport cat for a decat. Fitted a forge turbo blanket and wrapped the downpipe. Need it back on the dyno now, let's break the 400 barrier.

Full Milltek 3" system with decat, non res

Will it still pass an MOT without the cats?

Internet (BT Superfast Broadband alledgedly) just crashed so phoned AmD for an update and pipes (hoses) should arrive next week so car booked in for Tuesday 23rd October, that's 7 weeks after ordering the parts, which is OK but I have no patience when it comes to my car LOL.:D

i think 4 pipes is overkill on a 4 cylider hatchback personally.  two round black tailpipes, a bit bigger than stock would be my suggestion.

your car though so your rules :)

This probably would not here in Ireland anyway....must have at least one CAT

Under the MOT rules from May 2018 the MOT Tester can fail if he/she thinks that the cat has been interfered with, or is missing, on a car that should have a cat - regardless of whether the emissions pass the required limits.

Hey all

Okay so here is the spec per say, price is not too bad. However are the stock pipes already 2.5" or would I be better to get 3" pipes?

The new rear silencers will be much smaller than stock so sound should be much better. Sticking with my stock black OEM tips as I think they still look great.

I think the mid resonator will be removed hense the optional centre box if needed. Not touching the cat or anything, long life 304 steel being used.

Thoughts?

Yeah standard pipes 2.5" from downpipe all the way to the backboxes. Going 3" all the way soon, can't wait.:D

Cool thanks, I wonder what the price difference would be.

My full system is Milltek and costs a whopping £1,800.

They are great but too pricy for me... I think the way I'm going should give me that but more growl that I want... I'm not so much looking for power gains although I gather the cat back system may give me a few additional horses
