Boost leak?

Featured Replies

Have had a “woosh” sound coming from my car for a few months now, over the time more and more power is being lost and the sound is becoming louder, I found a crack in a hard pipe and replaced it. The sound is still there but not as bad. Anyone have any idea what else it could be?

You should check your turbo impeller for signs of damage.

Any sign of black smoke (more than usual)?

Yeah there’s a bit more than usually but not by much

@Olismith - Well, you've got some sort of a boost leak then, but I'd check the hose joints first.

Check your intercooler.  the plastic air duct tends to rub on the intercooler and over time wear through. Normally on the top right corner.
