Octavia Mk IV Picture Thread

Recommended Posts

I think it's clear by now that those online configurator renders were more mix-matching features of different cars rather than the actual mk4. The front end of the actual car just revealed is clearly different and thankfully much better looking than those:

Also noticed the diagonal "strenth line" at the side (and bottom) of the car is different that in the renders. In the actual car it sits slightly higher and doesn't "touch" the sideskirts when it dips down at its end:

I see from Autocar that the RHD version has had the parking brake and bonnet release moved over to the right in the conversion unlike the Mk3!

The stereo looks out of place with the capacitive buttons on the left but at least they're going in the right direction.

Small but welcome steps in the right direction 😁

It looks nice. Definitely looks a bigger car than the mk3 from this angle.

Not overly keen on the wheel design however. They remind me of the wheels on a 1990s Ford Granada.

Interesting to see the MkIV. Here in Denmark we don't have it yet. The Skoda website hasn't even announced it yet.

It's the same in Norway.. Why is it taking so long? Look over to Sweden, where customers already get their cars! Lucky you @Anders74 😄

Thanks @Core2Duo :) There were only a few new Octavias available, and my dealer had none so he had to get it from someplace else. I've had it for 2 weeks now and am very pleased with it! The car definitely feels more premium than the MK3 Octavia, and above all the seats are much more comfortable. Furthermore, no kangarooing or hesitation as of yet and the 1.5 TSI engine feels more eager. Now I just have to get used to finding my way around the new Columbus with hardly any physical buttons :)

Thanks, Edu! It's Titan blue. Almost one year on, I'm still very pleased with the choice of colour  :)
