I recently purchased a Skoda karoq 2019 white the mib version according to the image. It has been crashing when using Spotify and navigation at the same time. Would a updated mib version fix that do you think? 
 

Also, would any adaptations made with OBDEleven like road sign recognition need to be redone?
 

would appreciate if someone could point me to the most recent version of the SW.

0490 is the latest Firmware I can see available
I cannot speak about any map updates

More important question - is there a good reason to update from 478 to higher?

Yes he is a legend giving up a lot of time to help people find updated firmware and advice.

MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T is the latest for that SW Train, no 490

Yes and no, essentially any update could fix something, but break another thing.

 

Me, I tend to not care too much, so updated mine to 0253t, being of 02xxt series FW
