Isofix Plastic Covers Rear Seats with Leather Seats

Featured Replies

I have a 2020 Model Skoda Karoq 1.5 SEL DSG with Black Leather interior. Could someone with the same model confirm that theirs is fitted with plastic covers.

On my previous 2018 Skoda Karoq 1.5 SEL DSG with Black Leather interior, they were present.

Skoda Customer services are helping with my enquiry but were unable to state that the covers should be present for my model variant.

If you mean the 'Isofix' covers, yes they are present on my 2020 TDi 2.0 Edition 190 DSG.

Thank you, do you have the leather interior also?

Oh yes! Black as in your pic.

Loving this car after 9 splendid Yeti years!

The plastic covers were deleted from the spec from week 48 of 2019, I believe.

Yes, thank you, I've had that confirmed by my Skoda dealer and Skoda Uk. Seems to me a penny pinching excersise when they seem to be fitted to all other Skoda models.

If Skoda had applied their 'Simply Clever' mantra they could have still achieved the same aim without the stigma of  penny pinching if they had proclaimed they stopped providing these plastic covers as they presented a choking hazard.

Instead of being derided, they would have been lauded....

See here (6 posts down), affects the Kodiaq too...

You're not Keith Jones are you!? :D

If Skoda are so strapped for cash that they delete the little plastic Isofix covers, they should drop to pointless and probably expensive seat-back trays which I would guess are 90% unused.

When looking to buy a Karoq I lifted one of those trays on a showroom model but couldn't work out how to get it back down.

Over a year into Karoq ownership and the ones in our motor have never been touched.

Like you say westie38, pointless for at least 90% of buyers.

Part No is  57A887187A (Black)

Several on eBay!

Thank you, my local Skoda Dealer is going to supply me with some F.O.C. when this current situation is over

Maybe only 90% used, but when they are, find them incredibly useful, particularly on long journeys. Used for supporting phone or tablet for watching films / music listening, (by rear seat passengers obviously !) plus on stops for use as mini picnic tables. Find them  far more useful than Isofix plastic covers !

Plastic Isofix covers not fitted on the Kodiaq anymore.

Those covers are rubbish anyway...whenever someone heavier than 25 kg sits, they pop up and whatever you do they will pop up..for us (with mild OCD 😂) theyre annoying

Never had any problem with them in my Golf SV, and as I'm assuming they're a standard size I'll keep the ones from my Golf for my new Karoq.

So i know its technically reviving an old post - but my 2021 sportline Karoq had these little isofix covers - but my new sportline doesnt - when i asked the dealer - they are not fitted anymore - but i'm sure ive seen them???? Anyone know more on this?
