Some gear changes bit rough after changing snapped selector fork

Featured Replies

Hi been having trouble with my dsg 6 speed octavia vrs 2010 it turns out it was a snapped selector fork it's driving now after getting it fixed but it's not as smooth as it was I know the gear box has not been reset after being replaced does it need to be done and would that help I've only done 40 miles in the car from having it done short drives 11 miles being longest or would a long drive help its just not like it was before it happened

Definitely do a full reset with VCDS.

The gearbox goes through a set procedure when you do this and can sort out rough changes.
