I have a 1998 Mk2 Felicia 1.6 Glxi.  I need a Bonnet release cable. I have contacted the following online parts suppliers 2 weeks ago, their websites all say they are still operating during the Corona Virus Crisis, but only one so far has replied and no luck locating a part.

 

bestpartstore.co.uk -  They replied with a part number (78230011901 VIKA) but said they didn't have one in stock. They didn't offer to order one either. They have bonnet release cables for 1997 model year, but the front grille on those cars is different from face- lifted 1998 models. Does anyone know if the cable for 1997 will fit 1998 model cars?

I just thought I would ask on here if anyone can recommend an online supplier, preferably in UK, but willing to also try elsewhere in Europe.

It looks like part # 6U0823615A also applies. There is a listing (from Latvia) for one of these on eBay.

 

When I changed my Felicia pick-up to a facelift front end I also changed the bonnet release cable as the fittings at the bonnet catch are different. I have been trying to remember whether it would have been possible to adapt either cable to work with 'the other' bonnet catch, but I cannot drag that from the memory.
