Saw Dune: Part Two at the cinema yesterday  - wow!!!

A superb film, and a very good follow-up to Part one.

Much like the new Blade Runner definitely a film to experience on the Big Screen 👌

Haven't seen it yet but it's on my list having seen part 1 and having read all the books many times

Scoop. Netflix.

Gillian Anderson playing Emily Maitlis to perfection and Rufus Sewell plays a dead ringer for Randy Andy.

Billie Piper as Maitlis's assistant who still has a career. Unlike her deadbeat ex.

I can recommend Draft Day, free on Netflix. Very watchable dramatisation of the 2014 season NFL draft. Not a sport I follow, but I enjoyed this film - and it might even have some parallels for followers of 'The Beautiful Game'

I think it's in here somewhere anyway, but as it's on Netflix..
Finished Top Gun - Maverick ther other night.
I didn't want to like it, but darn it it is an excellent pop-corn film.
Very much a homage to the first.
As other have mentioned don't think too hard when watching it.

Just rewatched for the first time in a long time Michael Crichtons  The Andromeda Strain (1971).

All things considered I think it's stood up well for being over 50 years old

I love this ^^^ film and Capricorn One (they feel like natural bedfellows if that makes sense :)

I may go for The Cassandra Crossing next :)

If you watch the movie 'Titanic' in reverse, it's a film about a bunch of zombies that come back from the dead, repair a ship and travel to Southampton to play poker.

I'd take that over the real one

It's around 3 hours of your life you won't get back (some of the ship does look glorious, though)

Just caught the last half hour of Free Solo about a rock climber (aka a nutter ) scaling El Capitan a 3000 ft rock wall in Yosemite National Park in 2017. He achieved it in 3hr 56 min 😳
Read afterwards that his mother achieved the same climb and became the oldest female to do so at the age of 66 and has since climbed it again aged 70

Puts climbing the stairs indoors with my arthritic knees into context 😂
