Likewise I haven't heard anything either despite leaving messages etc.  Certainly not impressed at all.

I'm afraid I've joined the growing list of owners rejecting vehicles plagued with the technological problems. (It would be interesting to know how many have been rejected over recent months.......)

Thanks but here they are a joint venture!

Garage just phoned. They’ll come collect it on 27th to apply the recall and have a look at it. Will post back here on progress.

I've had an update from Skoda. Apparently they'll be installing a campaign that is expected to address all of my issues except for the kph/mph. It'll fix the units on the sat nav and is expected to fix the matrix LED alignment.

Fingers crossed I guess.

Great I do hope that you get satisfaction.

Received update from Skoda Customer Services yesterday informing me that they are still waiting on a software update (no time scale given).

Hi All,

Picked up my 'new' Octavia SE-L First Edition on Thursday, in possibly one of the most socially distanced, sanitised hand overs bearing in mind the current climate. One of the first things I checked was the ability to change from Km to Miles on the Satnav, and I've found I can't.

Not really a biggie for me (I tend to use Android Auto mainly), but I've registered a case with Skoda UK, and the dealer has said that it is a known issue. Just thought I'd post here and let you know I've added some weight to the case.

What software version are you running?

At least they are now accepting it is an issue hopefully they will also accept the other faults too!

Is there an easy way to report faults? Tempted to report the lock/ unlock via app not working

I entered a complaint with Skoda UK. They will tell you to take it to a dealer. They will run a diagnostic. Mine came back with nothing wrong! (Nit having a problem with the mph/kph). Skoda UK closed the case! Said they couldn't do anything if it was not thrown up in the diagnostic. There is no 'fix'/recall planned at the moment apparently.

I reported this to Skoda UK and like OctaviaFirstEdit above was told to take it to the Dealer, they found nothing!!  Eventually the Skoda UK Customer Service Manager Dean told me that it is not available on my car!  Querying this further I still got the same response.  Not at all satisfactory.

Oh I do love how there's no problem if the computer can't find it. Had that on a Vauxhall years ago. Might ring them as the app is nothing to do with the dealer.

I've had the online checkin for my appointment and apparently it's going in for recall campaign 97EQ. Criteria are 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10 & 12.

I'll post an update following the update but was wondering if anyone else had this?

Hi, Yes I had that campaign installed on our car back on 2nd December but sad to say that it changed nothing regarding the Infotaintment Errors.  I am now awaiting the replacement of the Gear Control Lever which allegedly will solve everything!!

The detail of your recall campaign which was released on 25th November 2020 is:

The measures required on your vehicle are as follows;

Criterion 02: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit MIB 3 OI

Criterion 03: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit ESC.

Criterion 04: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit MFK.

Criterion 05: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit Kessy – IO - BOX.

Criterion 06: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit Kessy – RSAD - BOX

Criterion 09: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit Gateway.

Criterion 10: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit of Rear Radar.

Criterion 11: In the vehicles concerned update the control unit of Sound System.

Criterion 12: In the vehicles concerned it is necessary to tighten screws on headlights.

As I said this did nothing to improve our list of faults.

Wish you luck,

Thanks for that. I've told my garage that if it doesn't fix the faults then I want to look at rejecting the car. I've had it for a little over 3 months but I've been complaining about some of this stuff since day 2. I'd be really disappointed as the car has massive potential and I really enjoy owning it, I just don't want to be stuck with something that will be devalued in years to come because buyers will be told to avoid anything with XX and YY wrong with it.

One thing that really annoys me is that they had the car in November and were supposed to take it in to fix the issues when a patch became available. I think they're only bringing me back in because Skoda UK have told them to but, if this patch has been out since 2nd Dec, why haven't they at least given it a go already?

<sigh>

Car has been with the garage since this morning and they've applied the update and gave me a call. It doesn't appear to have fixed the km/miles on the sat nav nor the kph/mph on the dash. They've put the lights onto the MOT testing station and it all appears to pass. I had to point out to them that the Matrix lights only work on high beam above 30 mph outside streetlights. They're holding onto it until morning to see if Skoda come back with any suggestions but I'm not entirely optimistic.

Hi again,

Sorry to hear of your disappointing visit to the Dealership but not surprised!  Sadly it does appear to be the norm at present.

I have had a call from my dealership to inform me that the allusive Selector Lever has arrived so car booked in for next Wed 3rd Feb when they have assured me that they will diagnose and fix my issues!!!!!!!  Really great if they can but I have little confidence unfortunately.  Will keep you posted.

So I've received the car back and it doesn't appear to have fixed anything. I've let the garage know that they need to get in touch with a firm plan on when to fix or else get started with a like-for-like replacement or refund. The aftersales manager has been in touch to say he's looking into it.

Sorry for your disappointment, I guess I've got that to come next week when ours goes in for the 3rd time to resolve these issues.  It really is amazing that Skoda appear to adopt such a laissez-faire attitude to accepting and fixing these issues.

As I posted previously, the car was in for the update and everything seems to be fixed apart from the KPH/MPH, customer services contacted me to say they were still working on a solution for that and they would contact the garage when it's available.

Out of curiosity, did you have a problem with Matrix LED lights? I need to test mine but that would mean finding some sort of essential journey which requires me to drive at night
