But how didn't you go for Bilstein B6 DCC?  You could upgrade all 4 for the same price Skoda quoted just for the two fronts, and have better handling and a product that should not fail again or at least would be serviceable...

I know and I agree with you but my boss (the owner of the vehicle) wanted it done in the main dealer where it was bought and has been maintained.

Ah, if it's not you paying then it doesn't matter, OEM everything! :D

Got it back this evening.

Only 1 spring replaced but 2 shocks and drop links, top mounts, bushings etc etc.

My contact in the service dept really looked after me.....I got discount on all the parts and he really looked after me on the labour (good will for a good returning customer he said)

I've just bought bilstein B4 shocks 238978 and 238988....I got them from Eurocarparts for 780 for 4. The 988 part is not listed for mine on the bilstein site (7520 listed) It used to be listed for the 110kw superb but now 7520 is listed for both 110 and 140 kw. I've checked with Eurocarparts and larkspeed and both say the 988 is ok for my 140 kw 4*4 estate. Not sure why they would be different. Is it different codes for the same thing? Anyway getting them installed tomorrow and will report what happens. I'm hoping the suspension will be less bouncy in comfort and less noisy overall. I went for B4 rather than b6 as I've seen reports that b6 may render sports mode too harsh in DCC and bilstein B4 is firmer than OEM anyway. Any comments on the code differences welcomed.

€1800 for OEM , sounds right for the DCC, springs and mounts and installation from the main dealer. (Although the main dealer in limerick quoted me €1300 for replacing front DCC only . (no springs or mounts)

I have ordered the bilstein DCC replacement, but I am already waiting 5 weeks and it will take another couple of weeks I guessing. I getting all 4 corners done with mounts, (keeping original springs) , bushes etc for €1800.

Thanks for confirming my assumption of the cost of upgrading all 4x with Blistein not surpassing the cost of just 2x OEM DCC.

How are you finding the new B4 DCC shocks?  Are they 'slightly' firmer in each mode?

Hi well a bit of a palavar as one of the shocks came without the electronic cable and took a week for Eurocarparts to come through. Anyway everything now fitted but at the moment I cannot tell the difference between the different modes. I've run obd 11 but says it has no faults. I'm a bit stumped and will probably take it to a Skoda dealer. They cost £380 just to install (seems steep?) at the local garage. So a bit frustrated at the moment.

I'd take it back to the garage that fitted them first to see if they made a mistake.

The electrics are all fitted. I've checked that. So I'm not sure what mistake they could have made. Bilstein sell these as plug and play.

B6 damptronic were ordered nov.20; the manufacturer set a release date appr. mid.01.21. Then release date of my order moved for four times...so the last date is 20th 06.21. Two days ago i decided that anticipation is too looooong -> refused the order -> moneyback -> x1.9 multiply the cost of upgrade and ordered kw ddc))

this way the suspestion will get (i hope) an "autumn refreshing" instead of "spring"))))

thank you all, this thread helped me to take that decision))

I had a pair fitted to the front and mine turned up without the cables, and are taking an age to get.

Still annoyed the originals failed within 5 years as I have never had any fail in all the other cars I have had.

Also had to have the brake disks changed at the same time as the pads.

Well took it out for a decent spin and I can’t tell any difference between the modes. I’ve reset it, taken it back to the installation garage who couldn’t find an issue. The only strange thing I’ve found is this on Obd 11. Anyone know about this?DE07C8B4-B5B6-4DB0-98D1-E1F9069DD927.thumb.jpeg.a2ad1231eeb2d5ad4cd307e3c63921de.jpeg

That's related to the DCC re-calibration.

I did it recently (U can read about it here), and it's transformed the car's ride/suspension.

The DCC shocks work so beautifully now with the Eibach Springs.

Initially I was considering to get the Bilstein shocks in the near future.

Now that I've done this, I'm pleased.

Not looking at getting the Bilsteins anymore.

I wish I had found out about the DCC re-calibration a long time ago.

I give up waiting for B6DCC, delay shipping again n again. Stocklist keep pushing the date , order since 2022.
while B16 dcc is easily available and one Cupra owner got this B6 DCC within 1 week of order.

i bite the bullet and get kw dcc as b16 is way to harsh for daily drive.
only on kw dcc is the prices , cost extra 1k bs b6 dcc with lower spring.
also kw dcc take note of the rear collar as the rear is too low, only half a finger. While front is fine two finger.

feedback to kw and pending a new collar extender and awd rear spring to lift the car to two fingers.

let talk about drive feels

Normal no longer floaty feeling but going over humps still can feel behind jumpy.

comfort is sport minus feel ( compare to stock sport) enjoy driving with comfort if u want a relax drive. or with family.

sport is good. Not so harsh like vrs sportline or cupra type.

i didnt test b6 dcc on a superb but on a cupra leon.  I like the curpa comfort mode drive feel as it like kw dcc sport feeling on superb. Personal i feel b6 dcc with lower spring is perfect for superb as vs cost over kw dcc

overall review on kw dcc is good and mean for street comfort mind set. Took for a spin and done a few S and E brake. Nobody roll.

If u want more sporty look or driver  can lower the car.

I was just in Singapore last week!  Could have met up ! :D

Spot on with your comparison of the KW, I would say that the KW V3 are by far the best coilovers for performance and comfort.

I'm running B16's and the rear are way too low - I don't think an AWD spring will help raise it, However I managed to buy some rear bushes which are compatible for the B16 coilovers which should raise it between 5mm - 10mm.
