Nothing, except 1555 FW update error (could be found while scanning) could be easily deleted by odis VSDC obd and so on, rest of function will be the same.

Great thanks. I’ve read some people say that you need to do the update with the ignition on or can I do it with the engine running?

Official way, turn off engine, use charger for battery, open the door turn on emergency stop lights.  But you can do it at any way I did it while my driving.

Great, got it updated with no issues with the engine running. I noticed in one of the other MEGA directories is a file called MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526_MU1440_PATCH.7z - Not sure what this is for as when downloaded its a weird file type. Im assuming its a more up-to-date patch for the one I installed?

Thank you for your help RomanB. Updated this afternoon. All went well and smooth. For others: due to the size of my SD card i was unable to format it in FAT32. Used exFAT and all went well.

You are the best. If I buy some OBD2 reader I can clear the error code afterwards? (Something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autel-AutoLink-AL319-Universal-Diagnostic/dp/B007XE8C74/ref=sr_1_9?dchild=1&keywords=Obd+reader&qid=1612959159&sr=8-9 )

hi,

Do you know what does the upgrade to 1440 add to the 1382 ?

Currently on MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4523_1 SW MU version 1382, and wondering if this is worth upgrading to?

Does it actually affect warranty at all ? still have 1 year left(private buy) so do no want to give them (skoda) excuses later down the line if somethings goes belly up ?

Hi i don't have TPI to give you an answer what they fixed in 1440, it defenetly will not give you any significant changes. It will not affect for waranty if you will delete 1555 error after update.

if I'm only doing a standard up to the latest that my train supports, do I need to worry about 'patching'?

Patch are need only if you want to unlock some feature. if not just update FW

I heard that the MIB2 could be software updated somehow to 2.5, and that you'd just then need the bigger screen. Does anyone know if it's true, or know how that's done?

@RomanBso i have HMI2_ER_VWG13_P3637 0913, and i downloaded MHI2_ER_VWG13_K4525 1367 but in the metadata2.txt it doesnt come under the supported firmwares but it also not under the blocked trains too. so what do you think i may need?
