Best MPG and RANGE in 2020 150PS Diesel

Featured Replies

Thought I would ask folk who run the latest 150PS Diesel in the Superb Mk3.5 facelift either manual or 7 speed DSG what is the best MPG (photo appreciated) showing how many miles driven if possible and the best range on a tank. Only had my car for 3 days but it already impressing as the combined average from Skoda is quoted as 72mpg with a highway figure of 78mpg and the combined co2 is stated at 103gm/km which is  the lowest of all the Skoda's I have owned in the last 17 years. 5 Commutes so far with bests of 75/65/72/68 and 78mpg tonight.

Is this a contest?

Or is it like the First Word (anti dementia) thread?

Will you run a leaderboard? (With you at the top naturally)

Whats the prize?

You must have worked out by now that I like a challenge. I remember when you were the second most popular contributor on Briskoda behind George. Now I'm number one so I expect some people will dislike me. My 2016 Superb 1.4TSi manual SE managed 800 miles on one tank for comparison if anyone wants to compare a 150PS petrol to the latest 150PS diesel and the cost savings to be made.

Sadly I don't qualify, nor does George for your latest geatest mega posting thread cum contest.

I trust you will be offering the odd Disney toy to runner ups as you must regularly stop them escaping in your line of duty.

Sadly no toys have been available for staff to purchase in 2020 due the Worldwide Covid-19 Pandemic. Even friends and family are disappointed by this development. Nice picture is that a self portrait.;)

Xman - Shy you guys obviously spend a lot of time on here have you thought about maybe supporting the forum with a Freedom Membership ?

It would be appreciated that the hyper-miling is continued in the thread George mentions above.

After all, it was actually your idea shy:-

Time to revive this thread specially created for Briskoda's best sipper of petrol and now diesel

John drinking 5 gallons of ketchup is clearly not good for your waistline. To Nick H if the mods stop picking on me and banning me I might consider FREEDOM membership but still feeling a lot of negative Waves from FREEDOM members and I don't want to be as grumpy and depressed as some clearly are (my wife works with mentally challenged people). Some good news from 6am on Tuesday 20th October I won't be on Briskoda until I finish my 3 weeks holiday as it is time to concentrate on more important things like walking along the beach in 28C temps and sinking a few cold ones.:emoticon-0157-sun::beer:

spelling mistake

Not visited briskoda for a bit and suddenly I am looking at this thread wondering how did a 272 become a 150...

Anyway, hopefully chasing mpg will keep shy occupied enough to not miss the AWD and power.

But is there any point if your aim is to drive like a nun and achieve the best possible MPG?

Maybe that should read, "If only I'd followed the Briskoda Guidelines then there wouldn't have been a need for any infractions being issued."

Anyway, as I mentioned earlier it's best if you keep your MPG figures to the thread which YOU re-opened yesterday.
