Best when you hold down Menu/Setup button to enter engineering menu and find Software Train information page.

 

This is also location for firmware update button.

I tried, but with selection of update button I have to enter CD, USB or card with software to make an update possible

If you look a few posts up, you will see there is image of Software Train shown on the engineering menu.

 

It's best to identify this so I can send the correct file to you.

Appreciate your help if there is an update for my unit, and whether this update will unlock smart link or not, as I've learned that there are software updates that could unlock this function.

 

Someone actually updated similar unit and has the Smartlink working (attached the screenshot)  but have no idea which software is that.

You have a mib2. Use the mib2std toolbox or update to 253 and install the 253 pre patched file to activate smartlink. All avaliable online for free.

 

The screnshots you have shown they have also updated to 4xx.

Welcome, you should press and hold the Menu/Setup button for 10 seconds to enter the hidden engineering menu.

The screen you find is the update location also, so it will be a good idea to find it now.
