Nope, not need for a Stage 1 tune.

I will b getting a TCU tune later in the year, so it's (the DSG transmission) more "comfortable".

I had a Stage 2+ ECU and TCU tune on my previous mk2 Octavia RS, nothing beefed up, with no issues for 6 yrs.

How come you went APR over revo/other?

because i've had APR before (Stg 2+ on my previous Octavia RS) and i've been really happy with it.

plus i got the Stage 1 at 15% off, on top of the permanently dropped 30% new pricing.

so effectively 45% off :)

Yeah nice, I had forgotten about APR and I see there's a reputable tuner that does APR up in Auckland

Initially I was considering Revo but I don't know much about the Revo tuner in Auckland

Wow, I am very impressed with your

modifications. Nicely done!

I am intersted in the

Stainless Steel footrest Accelerator & Brake Pedals

Can you tell me more? How are they holding up, is it more slippery? Was it easy to install or did you have to modify it? I suppose the link is to the exact ones you bought?

Thanks!

Thanks @Luei

The footrest & pedals r holding up well. Very solid.  Not slippery at all.

Installation of the footrest was straight forward, with no modification required.

Fitting the rubber over the accelerator pedal was a pain in the royals!!

Brilliant work.

well done 👍

Where did you get the 12v socket usb part from? I want to do exactly that for the rear passengers. Thanks

Do you have to manually power off the USB each time. Was looking to do this but know my kids wouldn't turn it off and therefore flatten my battery

if a device is left connected to the USB port, yes, u have to manually turn it off.

in my case, we don't leave any devices in the car, so no potential for battery drain.

Ah ok. So, so long as no cable/device is connected it won't draw any current. That is great. It looked like it had a little power button on port and had to be manually turned off. I was just concerned it was like a pushed lighter and that it drew charge

First up thanks for your post, this is awesome.

Re the power in the rear seats, I am satisfied with a much easier conversion, complete with USB C  ... :)

Been thinking about doing this for way way too long - finally gave Gandalf a lip extension!! 😊

It's a Rieger splitter.

Was looking and looking for a splitter that didn't stick out like the Maxton and SuperSkoda versions.

Fits perfectly. Quality is great.

Going to get it finished in Gloss Black soon, so it matches the gloss black of the fog light frames....

Good luck with that. I keep scraping my OEM bumper on those concrete sleepers they often put at the end of car parks :)

EDIT ...

I just went out to check, its actually the front lip of the wheel arches that hangs down in front of the wheels I keep scraping...so you may be OK :)

Dynamic Wing Mirror Indicators (video)

Can I ask, do the little repeater lights at the tip of the mirror housing (that you normally see inside the cabin) light up on the Dynamic Indicators you've installed?

I've also installed similar Dynamic Indicators on my mirrors. Unfortunately, the little repeater light barely lights up at all (I've seen similar complaints elsewhere on Briskoda).  I'm moving to a new Superb soon and I'd like to do this mod again but only if they're fully functional.

Impressed by all the mods BTW. I've also got a thing for chrome bits and have done lot's inside and out - door handles, mirror caps, pedals, light switch surrounds etc - but the new car is a Sportline, so I'm going to have to get used to glossy black....

That front splitter looks really well.

I've also been thinking of getting my roof wrapped..........I think you've just tipped me over the edge!!!!

I would love to get the roof done and possibly do a "black pack" like the Sportline........(worried how much this might cost)

Compared to the factory indicators, they r weak at the tips.  Can't see them from the inside.

But importantly, it can b seen from the outside.
