  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

So, after 13 months (5 of them being parked), my 2.0 TDI DSG is finally finished 🥳🥳🥳 My dealer called me today around lunch time but it’s been such a hectic day at work that I couldn’t share the news with you guys sooner. It should be ready for pick up in about 2 weeks. Doesn’t show in the app yet though. So the time has come, my budget is about to get significantly thinner 😉

Will keep you updated ofc 😊

Congrats! It is already in transit?

Congrats, I know it's been a long wait since you got the VIN number :)

I ask, because I hope mine will be on the same truck, but I know that is very unlikely. :)

Can someone share the link to the spreadsheet please , I’ve lost it.

thanks :)

My dealer told me yesterday that mine should be soon in my hands, just how soon he didn't tell me ;/ .

You're still unable to add it to MySkoda app?

By Skoda standards, soon is 2 to 3 months. :D

i did get now information that my car is waiting for transport

"M13 Octavia - On assembly runs 41 cars over schedule, the net work in progress was 644 at the beginning of the week cars. In this week, production is planned at a rate of 1.02 min./car, which represents 420 cars per shift, a total of 1,261 cars per day. Last week the staff at M13 produced a total of 6,119 cars, of which 4,323 Octavia A8s and 1,796 Enyaqs. The staff is sufficient, but on some days it is slightly (in units of people) receives below standard service. Last week, the employees managed to process a total 2,019 unfinished cars, to go "only" 1,087 of them have to be worked off."

So that means there is only 1087 unfinished cars?

It sure looks like it.

Just informed by my leasing company in the UK that my Octavia Iv SE Tech estate (kombi) won't be delivered until January 23 at the earliest.  It was ordered in October 21.  15 months.  I'm expecting it to go much longer than this.

What I can't understand is that I got an amazing deal (3 years/12,000 miles per year.  Total cost is 30% of the market value of the car).....after such a long time period how can they continue to support that deal?  The leasing company insist it will be honoured.

Let's see!

Similar situation to me.  We ordered 2 x IV estate (Sep 21, Dec 21) with no real info other than “unlikely to be this year”.

Lease company are honouring the deal but I suspect that’s because a) Skoda is holding their price and b) the 2nd market  doing well so the depreciation that was in their lease calcs in 2021 is much better now.

Lease co  has been calling us with alternative cars but I’m sticking with the IV since the company car tax is almost unbeatable. Did consider the Merc CLA but (ironically) lead times a year ago were too long.

Also worth noting the lease co would keep his order on even if we cancelled ours because he has customers crying out for available vehicles.

Indeed I ended up getting a slight saving from order to delivery I suspect due to that.

If it is any consolation my Aug 21 estate order came this month, so maybe the end of the year might be doable!

Yep, still doesn’t show 🤨

Odd. You should be able to add the car when its ready.

Just tried, still nothing 🤷‍♀️

Had a call from the dealer today - car apparently is on a boat and should be at the dealer mid-late October. (have updated spreadsheet)

Will make it about 16 months from order to arrival - compared to last car ordering in 2013/2014 which took 4 months.

I got a mail today from the dealer, that I am unable to change the rims on my order anymore. Car is planned for production, but I don't know exactly when. So maybe you are on to something with your statement @SpanishJose.

Bad news about my order. It is currently planned for week 43, so this would mean almost 16 months of waiting for the car (ordered July 21). So I don't understand, why they can't change my rims after waiting 14 months, if production is planned 2 months from now. Skoda is a joke.

I was also asking if I could add any option to the initial order and they told me that ANY modification (adding, not removing options) would push my order back at the end of the waiting list. It really doesn't make any sense. That was about 10-11 months ago, before the factory fire, before the war and the consequent delays caused by components produced in Ukraine. The only modifications were those that they proposed - removal of park assist and reverse camera. I'll never know if that helped or not the "faster" production of the car...

Hi guys, I am new here. I have ordered Octavia at my local dealer. Today I have received my VIN code. But reading posts here I know that means nothing regarding delivery terms. I have a question regarding your VIN code - especially who have recently received their cars. What letter do you have in your VINs code position #10. According to this site https://carinfo.kiev.ua/cars/vin/skoda (sorry it is in Ruzzian, but you can translate page with google) letter in position #10 means year of manufacturing. And I have letter "P", which means 2023 (Nooooooo!!!). "N" means 2022. What letter do you have (who already got their VIN numbers or maybe recently got their Ocatvias)?

I've got an "N" on position #10; I received the VIN in July and the car was completed end of August '22 (ordered Aug. '21). It's now waiting for transport.
Maybe that "P" that means 2023 is indicating that it is a model year 2023... If I remember correctly, MY changes around September. Someone who knows this better might correct me if I'm wrong.
