If you are planning to buy a Skoda next year or even the year after then better stick to it if you want a Skoda. Prices are much more atm and will increase a lot next year too and with all the issues with prices going up and green politics, i see the prices rise quickly.

also been looking at the CLA shooting brake Phev - told that I couldn’t even order one. Also looked at the new C class estate, but only the top spec model could be ordered at a price of £55k. Was told it was a 6 month wait on one of them but they aren’t even officially launched yet.

At least 44 weeks is salesman patter, apparently new orders are at least 50 weeks for an Octavia, and many are nearer 60 weeks (14 months).

 

I suppose saying 44 weeks sounds better than phrasing it as over 300 days, even if realistically will be nearer 400 days wait.

 

 

Still waiting on my Octavia eTec. Order was placed Aug 2021 and got a build week of week 7 2022, but it's still sat at the factory with status of 20 (with production order). Dealer says that it's built but probably waiting on small part / checks. Been that way since middle of Feb. No idea when it's going to arrive at the moment. Think they got fed up of me chasing every two weeks for an update and told me they will let me know when there is an update! Really hoping it's gonna arrive before end of July as planning on going away on family holiday in it.

Welcome mate, I hope you get a positive info soon. Dealers should not be fed up with us checking, it’s not our fault Skoda is giving us incomplete info or no info at all…

my last update on friday said delivery 08/05/22 but not confirmed.if it did come on that date it would make it 50 weeks since ordering.

Ordered an iV SEL with a few options in November 2021 direct from VWFS - still no update on build date. Anticipate I’ll get mine in Q1 2023

My story is exactly the same for a petrol manual hrs

yes mine was built in feb 22 .i was told a slight delay .awaiting parts then push backs week by week .skodas idea of slight delay is not the same as  99.9% of us on here.

For my own sanity, I decided not to bother annoying myself by chasing answers from the Dealer. It's not like they can change the production schedule. I'm waiting for the dealer to phone and say "it's here". It's going to be a surprise when it arrives.

 

I expect a wait of a year. I ordered in Jan 2022. I assume it'll be the year from looking at https://www.marnet-mobility.de/aktuelle-lieferzeiten.html

Chapeau, been chasing my dealer each month, lately even more as I got some more info.

In fact, today I was informed my car has VIN number and is supposedly waiting for door panels before being shipped. I just hope it’s only that and we’re still on schedule for week 20.

my car was built just before the fire but told slight delay.so what parts it needed i do not know  ,now every week it  gets pushed back by a week,

You're just teasing your self by asking it every week. Dealer keeps telling you optimistic anwers, as thats what you want to hear. 

Just prepare for a month delay, when you dealer claims a week. 

Door panel factory has just been started, and your car is not the only one waiting for them.

Yup, they just keep pushing the date 🙃

 

I called mine after almost a month, he said that nothing changed. Car is missing part/s (he is assuming door panels).

Date i had was week 15(this week), now without any dates.

He has no info when i can expect the car... stupid situation cause i need that car to arrive before June 

In 4 days it will be 1 year from ordering 😅

i was told car was built before door panel fire,so it must be  other parts.i dont ask for a update i get one every friday off them.

I keep ordering additional options. Maybe deep down I know I will never see this car. I added windshield heater, heated seats, heated steering, soudproof side windows, electronic side lock. I almost added matrix lights, but I know they are a big issue. Maybe in a few months I will add them.

Seriously? Can you do that after several months since the initial order? How about the price? Those thingies must cost more now compared to 08/21?

Maybe he is mixing up options. Light assist is optional that can be activated, but matrix lights cannot.

You can do whatever you want to the car, that doesn't exist. Base price stays the same, you only pay for additional packages/options. They are not much more expensive, base price of the car is where the price is going crazy.

Matrix lights work just fine in Europe.

Issue is not about them not working. Issue is, they prolong the delay.
