For me that looks like a sensor problem thats also coloring the ground  

But yeah. The white covering would be realistic answer.

Skoda, not dealer. Got an email saying the RS door panel production will start in june.

Could you please share the email. I have order an RS too. Date of production was KW5. But, I have not received such an email.

where does the info about rs doors coming from?it was chips then it jumped to wiring looms and doors and now rs doors.just where is all the stuff coming from.or is just gossip and bits getting added on as the weeks go by?

Don't have the luxury of delaying the imminent arrival of baby Nr 2 in our house so going to have to look at a roof rack for the old VW golf 😫

 

Latest update from my dealer is a production week given for Week 28 which is something at least.

Might be better, might be worse... Would mean delivery mid-August which would be 8 Months total wait.

 

Judging by the general tone in here I'm assuming the worst and currently looking at other options!

I actually just emailed Skoda and they replied with well, with a delay. Did you car reach production?

Cancelling orders is exactly what Skoda wants and this is why they are doing this to us. @MaximusMeridius yes i read all earlies post and i know that some people have alreday car, this makes me angry, because i know that my car have big margin, and it's silly that we must wait, but other people who pay less get cars. 
And yes you have right, if car is in production and waiting, then dont cancel order, but if not then is nonsense to wait car and that Škoda play with us 😞 
And yes i tell all friends who dream about Škoda, about this forum and waiting time, so i know for 4 friends who changed their minds and buy something else, they already driving cars 😇

And yes i also want to know what with this door panels for RS?
Because if this is true, is this really shame for Škoda, that they push every week "delay + 1 week" and not set correct date when car will be finish 🤢

Yes my Octavia RS was produced in early February and is now waiting for the door panel.

 

My RS TSI was due build week 7 mid February

Hybrids are stuck because of harnesses being produced in Ukraine. But here its a regulator issue - they should be looking into how VAG is managing its sales because it looks like a concert ticket party - selling tickets for then cancelled shows (but no money given back).

Called the dealership again, for the third time since mid february my Scala is finished, and the delivery is postproned again. In february it was built and supposed to arrive till the end of march, then it was early april, now god knows when. I specifically asked about the state of the car, they insisted it is fully build, does not awaiting any components, and have VIN number. I suppose they don't lie, and just skoda itself have huge problems in organization of orders - building, storing, shipping. And COVID, then chip shortage, now war in Ukraine just made things worse...

That is very strange rvukov when did you order? Having a made car not being delivered    I am still just waiting, nothing yet so i can understand they lost the order and can lose a made car 😕

Omniking i ordered the Scala end of September 2021. In late december 2021 i get the production week 7 of 2022. According to the dealership the car was produced on 8 week 2022. Since then, everytime i call, they are waiting the car to be shipped. I suspect that the car is not actually finished, and is stored and waiting some component to be fully finished. And that someone in factory hasn't updated the car status, or who knows what... I don't blame the dealer, they gave me the information they get from Skoda. And they have no interest in giving me false hopes i think... if i decide not to wait they can sell the car immediately with a profit.

I don’t get it, car supposedly made and still you don’t have it? This is just plain crazy. And I hope this kind of behavior truly backlashes at Skoda, this is no way to treat a customer…

So we're on the same page then. Unfortunately my optimism for delivery in next month is gone. Dealer told me earlier that "it should come before summer". Perhaps he knew about the door panel production starting in june. Maybe he doesn't want to concern me. In a sense he's right. Now that i've got information about june, i'm disappointed and not waiting for it. 

But now knowing that delivery might be on july, it makes me worried about the car being old, since VIN has already been created on february.

About to place my order next week for for an IV SEL Combi with a few extras. Dealer is saying at least 44 week wait

For yourself calculate a minimum 1 year when ordering a car at Skoda, no matter which model. I am still waiting for a Scala sinds 7/21 without any info.

I guess he is not lying. 80 weeks is still at least 44 weeks.

After reading this forum for a while, I decided to also write my story.

 

We ordered an Octavia RS TSI towards the end of July 2021. The contract said it will take between 30-35 weeks. 

 

Our first delivery estimate was around November. Then it got pushed back to end of March, right before the contract ended. When I contacted the dealer in February about the fire at the door panel factory, he said he didn't know anything about it. I suppose he lied. I mean, are they not informed even a few weeks later after such an event? 

 

Anyways, at the beginning of March I asked him if the car would come soon. He said it got postponed again, the delivery estimate would be August 2022. We thought we should give up the order, but the dealer said it's a good price, we have so many discounts bla bla bla. So we decided to wait a bit more, to see if we get a production date. I wrote him a few days ago, inquiring about a production date. Guess what, no estimate. And even worse, the delivery date is now December 2022. Lol. I highly doubt this car would come this year. Or ever. I was waiting for so long for this, it's not even fun anymore. I watched so many videos, saw so many Instagram posts, I don't even feel the car is new anymore. 

 

We will most probably cancel, this is crazy. I'll just drive my old Fabia till it dies. 😂
