Delivery times?

I believe the orders now are like 3000Euro more expensive and in some cases lesser options included 😕

  • Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier  👍😀

  • After 13 months waiting my SEL iV Plug in Hybrid arrived.    All seems good with it so far, just to understand some of the infotainment features!

  • Just took delivery of mine but had to cancel some of the optional extras

that sounds about wright... in my case, my configuration is now about 4 kE more expensive, and missing a few of the "minor" options I got as packs when I placed the order.
On a different note, but on our topic, I discussed today with my dealer and she said there are some delays for TSI engines - I didn't ask and she didn't go into more details; so I don't know which of the TSI engines. But it was sort of a "good news" for TDI that might move forward in production (that means sooner) because of those TSI delays. For the PHEV the situation is the same as last month (at least in Romania) - they do not accept new orders.

Dude, don't believe anything they say. It is all nonsense. My dealer said he hopes that in next three months things will get better, because they are now finally getting wiring harnesses, whatever that means.

AFAIK wire looms were not an issue for Octavia; it might have been one for the PHEV (the HV wiring -> Ukraine), but not for the MHEV and for ICE. So that sounds really strange!
Just to clarify: I'm not having any illusions concerning the car being delivered. The dealer said the status is the same: "scheduled for production / unknown week #" whatever the hell that means 🤬

What the dealer told me is that the wireing loom was only for the Kamiq and Scala models and till date still end of a year estimate built ... honestly i do not care which problems cause which as looking at the way they send out cars its just not comprehendable or finding a reason behind it. I am just out of luck for having a decent delivery time.  Hoping it may still change is all i can do.

Exactly that is my point. Whatever they say, it is all nonsense. I had many friends, that wanted to buy Skoda. After my warning, they all went into another direction. Some already have cars now, so at least I saved them from this agony. :)

Haha. Exactly what I'm doing now, because my friend wanted to buy Skoda and when i told him that my wait time 19 months, he went for Toyota :D

I heard some stories about Toyota though, that you are given an unfinished car and when the missing part is available, you get called in and they install it. But at least you have a car I guess 🤷‍♀️

Better to have that possibility than Skoda saying "here is your car missing  stuff, deal with it"

I guess, at least you can drive it, while here you only hear stories of a phantom car…

Door panel factory is running, but RS models will be without door panels for 2 more months.

Why only RS models?

Well, lets say only at least RS models. They have different fabrics compared to "normal" models like Style.

Other things, Why does Skoda factory have so many white cars? Picture is 2022, not sure how fresh. Maps link

White covers over the cars for transit to dealerships perhaps?

Where are you getting this info from?

Skoda, not dealer. Got an email saying the RS door panel production will start in june.

Hi all,

I must also share my experience about Škoda octavia RS new car.

I was order car 18.3.2021 on 14.2.2022, i get VIN number and my dealer say that car is produced (in system was production date 9 week 2022).
I'm from Slovenia and i was order red Octavia RS with loot of additional equipment.

I speak with my car dealer every week he told me that they have information that when car is produced must be finish in 3 months (in unfinished production car can be 3 months).
So i calculated and my car must be finish to 15.5.2022 so now really don't understand, how can door panel for RS production start in June, this does not match with the data that dealer give to me??? :)
Now every week i get + 1 week in system so if production for RS door panel will start in June, why i don't get 22 or 23 week in system this is June???

Because in february i said to my dealer, that if car won't be finish till march i will cancel my order and buy car from stock because in begining of year 3 RS octavia was in stock in Slovenia.
And he made a few calls and tell to me that car get production date 9 week 2022, so i was decide to wait.

I also have information that some man order octavia RS with less equipment 4 day after my order and he have estimation week 52 2022 and this is still not confirmed.
So my proposition for all is that if your car is not produced, cancel order, because you will wait from 12 till 24 months for new car if you get it (i also say this to all my friend who want to order Škoda).

Because some people from Škoda must be fired, because they have no idea how to handle orders and run production (how can they produce Škoda Octavia Sportline, if this car was available after my order? and my dealer 2 months back had 2 available -> and they say b**s** to us that they have problems with semiconductors) 😞🤢

I guess you didn't read earlier posts, where multiple people ordered cars much, much later than you and are already driving them (even in Slovenia). :) Cancelling orders is exactly what Skoda wants and this is why they are doing this to us. You will create more trouble for Skoda, if you tell all your friends about your experience and write to all the forums and review sites.

Hmm could be. Google maps image isn't that clear, but looks like they have white sides also.

Maybe your dealer told you optimistic expectations so you would NOT cancel your order ;)

I've got few friends saying me that i should cancel my order, rather than get months old car. But to be honest, i've got little choices. For the price point Octavia gives me lots of good stuff, and mamba green just is awesome. BMW and Mercedes would been an option if budget would stretch for 5 grand maybe. Octavia4 might suffer from cheaper feeling compared to mk3, but thats with every VAG car these days. Same with Golf mk8 and Seat Leon.

Also for me the stock cars dont have enough options. Going back to the waiting line would also not be a great option.

Street view backs it up. That green colour is questionable 😁

I am also reading other threads in this forum and I have to say I do have some concerns about the quality of such incoherent production with parts coming when available within several months. Last night I read a quite recent thread on cars being delivered with wifi disabled due reason unknown. Cars delivered this year, February I think. And only older diagnostic tool was able to detect the issue…
