No, the gearbox will not work with the VRS engine, it is not strong enough and won't fit.

No, the engine that you have already is available with 100 BHP but it won't work with an automatic transmission because the stall torque figures are too low.

You don't really know enough about this subject to attempt such an ambitious project, I suggest you just put petrol in the car and enjoy driving it instead of taking it to pieces and finding yourself unable to put it back together.

About all you could do would be to low pressure supercharge it.

a) On a 2004 car that's worth hundreds, that could cost thousands though.

b) You then have a more modified car making it more difficult to insure.

c) I very much doubt that a kit is available to bolt on. Would need at the very least fuelling and timing changes to avoid blowing up the engine. That probably means a custom map.

d) There's every chance that you'd still blow up the gearbox.

Pragmatic answer would be to buy a Mk2 or Mk3 with a DSG gearbox.

An engine swap of any kind is a major undertaking. With very limited knowledge its not worth doing on your own car. If its a project car then by all means.

As we all know with enough money anything will fit anything.

Best to enjoy what you have or just buy a faster auto car. (Fabia 1.2/1.4 dsg box)

DSG stands for Dog Sh!t Gearbox and luckily it wasn't available on the Mark 1 Fabia.

If you're after a diesel automatic then it would be easier and cheaper to sell your car and buy something else.

They did the Bora and possibly golf with the 1.9 PD and an automatic 6 speed.

You could buy a nitrous kit and have some fun, 50cc shot should do. Get your brother to fit. The most power per £ spent.
