Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus Facelift

Recommended Posts

Great project thread, it was exactly this coloured Superb Estate near me,  that got me looking at Superb. Love the full ambient lighting, great job.

I do wish though the modes could be customised for my choice of light colour

Oh but they can! With the right code :)

Very nice. How did you do that, vcds?

Plus wiring and swapping the light units

That’s very cool! How much hassle was it to install/change all the lighting and what sort of cost?

Change the light units, custom wiring to add LIN and then coding

It looks great. Especially the red!

Thanks, oh I’m loving having 30 colours again haha

Sasha, any chance you can share the reward door puddle light mod? Whewr would one tap in the lines if I don't have them? I ordered the superskoda ones for both front and rear but I don't have any rear door instalation. Or is there a module I can buy to have it original? Do you maybe have the part number, mind you I'm in Europe so maybe they are different here..

For Pre 2019 cars have a read of this

Thanks! Took me 9 months to find one in this colour, glad I waited.

Well done on some great work. I won’t even try to attempt lol.

looks like I’ll be keeping the white lights in my foot wells.

I do love the blue ambient lighting personally.

Looks good

I wish I had the patience and temperament for these kinds of mods but I don’t lol

After 8000 odd kms I’ve stopped caring about the paint on the car, stone chips are inevitable

Shame about the week though

My Octavia had 134,000 miles when I sold it so I was more pragmatic about the paint on that one but this is just over a year old and 8000 miles so I’d like it to look as good as it can for as long as it can.

More mods completed today, badges and genuine LED light unit installed in the glovebox as that’s the only one that wasn’t an LED inside already. The Kodiaq rear lettering is slightly bigger than the Superb one but it’s hardly noticeable and I quite like it. Also added the rear door lights and used OE LED panels in all the doors. More mods to come 😁

Rear door lights added, essential option IMO.

@SashaGrace - "Limited edition" meaning "limited to how many we think we can sell"?

That’s how many tags the piece of plane they have will make. Either way it’s a very special plane so I’m glad I get to carry a piece of it around on my keys.

Friend of mine has aircraft  seats and parts of the fuselage as a garden shed/office . Sadly a lot of planes getting scrapped at the moment.

@SashaGrace I had the opportunity to visit Air France Industries several years ago and saw a 747 in C-check, full 'naked' to the fuselage! Very impressive!

@David55 Not that much. Unexpectedly, there were less A/C retired in 2020 than in 2019. Airlines are still expecting a significant air trafic recovery for this summer. But if this recovery doesn't maintain for fall, they will probably decide to remove aging A/C... (Source: IBA Group Ltd).

Sorry if not related to Sasha's Superb 3... :notme:

Personally when the last Qantas 747 Queen was retired it caused some emotions for me. For @SashaGrace to have something that is a constant reminder is truly a beautiful thing.

@SashaGrace the chrome being you added to your key, is that a factory item or aftermarket ?

I've got a karoq Sportline myself and sadly haven't found a similar item for my key. The plain black key doesn't really cut it for me, hence why I'd love to jazz mine up with something.

You should have 1x chrome tipped key and 2x black plastic keys. I added the Superb key end. If your car doesn’t have the chrome key you can get one and take the chrome pieces off. The top piece is just stuck on.

Sadly none of my keys came with chrome so I may have to do some serious hunting or try some form of aftermarket option 😞

Available on AliExpress pretty cheap, get a VW key, remove a badge from yours and that’s all you need to do.

door handles would look good wrapped in gloss black. not sure what sort of impact they'd have on KESSY operation, though

I plasti dipped the door handles on the passenger side of my car, and it made no difference to kessy

I wasted my time though because it doesn't stand out against quartz grey.

Many of you have asked about Lane Assist coding on the 2020 cars and yes it can be done on all of them with the A5 cam which is all specifications above SE-Technology. I’ve finally gotten around to adding it to the Superb. Last pic of it in action is blurry as a passenger took it but you can see it in action there.
