MK1 FABIA VRS

Featured Replies

Hi, I’m looking to buy a MK1 Fabia vrs and own for two years.
I’ve been searching for a while and slightly stuck as everything seems high mileage that’s for sale, I know the cars seem to run forever but if I want to do 35k miles in it with minimal problems. What mileage should I aim for? I also want to modify it.

Newsflash: Skoda stopped making them FIFTEEN years ago, that's why they've all got miles on them.

Mileage is not important if the car has been well cared for and has a good history.

Buy one that's already been modified and well looked after for maximum bang for your buck.

I sold my 2004 mk 1 Fabia vRS with 44,000 careful miles about 5-6 years ago.  At that mileage the PD engine is barely run in.  I know this doesn’t help, just wanted to share.

There, FYP.

Ha, yeah probably came across as gloating but I really wasn’t.  How can I gloat when I no longer have it?  If I still owned it then yeah, massive gloating rights 😊
