I can also try to revert on Stock option to see if it subscription dependent.

I've uploaded Dataset #16 from VcTool. The sound is indeed better than stock one.

I've also tried to restore on Stock dataset, but I wasn't able due to: "Requested out of range!" error.

Beside this, a static/permanent DTC "B201200: Dataset Implausible" is generated and can't be deleted from [5F] - MIB3.

Can you please check for errors in your [5F] control unit?

Bear in mind, that I have a valid PRO subscription and I did a backup on [5F] before changing the audio dataset.

You have To Change Diagnostik Mode.

Do you have a procedure how to change it in OBD11 or VcTool?

In this way the error is going to be deleted?

Don't get me wrong, but you should familiarize yourself with the tools and the topic beforehand.

Certain functions require a certain level of user expertise. You can also lock the control unit if you do something stupid.

The 5F now detects manipulation because the data set is no longer plausible for the hardware or software.

This can only be fixed with a data set that the device considers OK.

If you still have a warranty on the vehicle and the dealer finds out about this, the warranty for the radio is now void.

Short update on ^^: With great support from VCTool guys, I've managed to restore Stock data set.
I've also tried 2 more presets/options: #17 and #18, I can't say the sound is much better that Option #16, with stock speakers.
All 3 options are generating B201200 DTC, so I've reverted to Stock audio for now.

I've also been looking for alternatives and I've found the following option in Car Scanner PRO:
8. Sound processing preset (MIB3)
This feature changes sound configuration to improve sound quality

Updates on the above:

1. I've tried the Presents/Options in Car Scanner PRO, without any luck on SK MkIV!

2. I've also tried, but didn't manage, to read and save 7201 dataset with MIB Manager(VcTool). The only option that worked is activation of VIM option.

I know that the Skoda Karoq is not the same as the Skoda Octavia MK4 but I just wanna say that, using an ELM327 and CarScanner app, I successfully read the dataset and I have also tried some presets and I can say that for sure, the sound is a lot better, I mean, a lot better than the stock: deeper bass, higher volume.

First I did a dump of the current dataset(the stock one) and later I have tried to modify manually the dataset using the tutorials from mqbsound but for some reason the dataset was rejected and an error code was present in the 5F module( I guess the CRC was wrong).

Then, I have tried the option #4 from the presets and now it's like my sound system came alive 😅
Now, I am planning to soundproof the door cards.

Which elm327 adapter you used? I'm getting faulty or unsupported adapter when trying to export the dataset.

I'm pretty late into the conversation but some guys on YouTube used a full DSP to flatten the sound and then feeding the signal into another amplifier also change it afterwards how they like, but it's pretty expensive ,about 600 euros the DSP

Guys, ^^ settings are for MIB2 unit. Bear in mind this thread is for MIB3, so it can create confusion. 🙂
