  • It's also worth mentioning that the pin assignment changes, which is what the adapter does. Many people don't use an adapter, though. Then you have a problem. SC39 with 10A wire, color red/blue, des

  • On the steering column control unit, it's connector T14e/1, which is terminal 30 for the Z36, with a cross-section of 0.5 mm². Then, T14e/2, which is terminal 31 for the Z36, with a cross-section of 1

Does the aircon coding allow me to turn on the heated steering will from infotainment display too, and eventually turning it on automatically?

Do You also have the coding for the heated seats?

Edited by Benja77

from infotainment display it is only possible to turn on automatically when temperature is low outside ( I don't remember exct value but I think it must be less then 10 deg) , there are 3 levels of heating available. In my case it is working together with heated seats. Important is the starting ignition temperature - it is not working for example if you start engine where temperature is higher then 10 deg and during travelling dropping to 5 deg.

My car is equipped with factory heated seats, so I don't know how to coded heated seats.

Ok thanks! I got the resistences over AE, putting inside the seats and today (or tomorrow) with the mechanic we'll connect pins in BCM; they should work without any coding BUT I just want to to make visible on infotainment screen as OEM. If anybody can help, I'll be more than grateful!

Hi, I was replacing in my Octavia only unit 5q1593 549 from D to F to activate heating. After replacment I got several errors even after coding heated steering wheel . (mainly ACC stop working) Before I installed steering wheel with capacitive sensors and activated TA function, no any errors and malfunctions after first part of retrofit.

5q1593 549F I bought probably from Cupra Leon. It that mean I have upload dataset from Octavia like V03935426TC ?

Hi I'm facing the same problem, after replacing the factory ring with the 5Q1953569K my ACC/Lane assist stopped working on my 2022 Karoq: it gives me as errror "Travel Assist and Lane Assist temporay not available" --> how did You solve it? It looks like the wheel doesn't communicaty with BCM

Before retrofitting the heated steering wheel with paddles, I replaced once before with normal wheel (not heated) with paddles (factory wheel has not paddles). I also have some column stalk as Yours.

With heated sw, all the other commands/buttons work fine!

Most probably you need HW: 5Q1953549F Currently in your subsystem 6 - Part No SW: 5Q1 953 507 FN HW: 5Q1 953 549 D. I'm not sure about SW. SW is the same like whole combination switch. Read my case - I was ordered two 5Q1953549F which was not fit due to software inside. Finally I got proper one with both parameters matching my car. My ETKA account was expired so I can't looked in your VIN configuration. Maybe someone else have and make advice.

So I finally finished the heated steering wheel. I used the 5Q1953549F ring with the same SW and HW as the original. My steering wheel is 5E3419093AL VKK. The heating works. However, only on high. When I press the button again to reduce to mid, one line disappears but only for 1ms and then the heating turns off immediately. On high it runs normally without problems but cannot be reduced. Any guesses what can be wrong?

Thanks

And if in turn on automatic heated steering wheel function and set it on low, it turn on on startup on low and works on low 🤦‍♂️
