Thank you for the feedback. I would also like to add that MEN2_EU_VWGPx_P0180L on a VW Polo 2021 is also not working.

Hello all,

I've managed to activate smartlink, thanks for sharing all the steps.

Now I have another problem, maybe someone else has a solution.
connecting the phone with cable, all good, androind auto is working, no problems there. when I try to connect a wireless adapter in the car's USB port, connects with the infotainment, but when I pair the adapter with my phone via bluetooth, the infotainment gives a USB error end keeps resetting. It could be that the cars's USB port is low on amperage and keeps getting errors?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello, I have tried but with no luck, I can not connect programmer to read the chip as the pins 3 and 4 (HOLD and VSS) are shorted together. Any ideas why?

Everything is the same, both hardware and firmware versions as Yours.

Maybe the IC is locked somehow (via software or hardware).

Any helps is appreciated.

Same issue here, with a cheap Ottocast it does not work. It is, as far as I can see, a compatibility issue. I updated the Ottocast firmware with no solution. My conclusion is VAG MIB units have deep hardware incompatibilities with certain multi-protocol conversion chips. Dedicated single-protocol adapters like AAWireless (which has specific VAG compatibility toggles in its app) could be the solution. For now I choose to use the cable solution as AAWireless is a bit expensive. But xmas is coming...
