I might get some stickier tyres on and go kick your *** mil...

hell i dont even know you but this thread delivers...

LEt me be brutally honest about what i see here..

Mil's digs hole..

Someone comments on the hole knowing more about whatever the hole contained than mil's did

Mil's digs another hole next to the one he already dug in an attempt to take teh focus off the original hole

Someone comments on the invalidity of the new hole

Cycle repeats

only got a small engine in my motor but it is almost half of your BHP total lol' date=' no cornering weight, no twist or flex on my chassis and a 0-60 time of around 4.5s,

See you round the twisties.[/quote']

Who is this cherry??

Guys' date=' I think you are being a bit mean to Mil

Mil,

I appreciate your driving prowess and don't doubt the veracity of your claims. If I flew to Dubai, would you give me lessons? I only drive a humble Octavia SDi and aspire to be a driving god I've done a teensy weensy bit of track driving, but always seem to get beaten by people in race prepared cars I don't usually have trouble with things like Subarus, Evos and M3s (especially if it's wet ) but I don't like being beaten. If you can't give me lessons, could you give me some advice?

Are the Falkens better than the Dunlop Supersport 9000s I have on?

Will some H&R springs and other suspension mods make my car handle better than it does now? The coilovers, ARBs and bushes don't seem to be enough?

Should I get more power?

Would lessons help? Could you help?

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next man; modify the car then fly there and get lessons to get me to your standard.............[/quote']

:finger: Keep it coming.

I kinda missed this treatment from you guys for a while, it started to get boring.

I'm enjoying every post I read on here, and always look forward to logging in.

But seriously guys...

:finger:

Mil, if you come over at the right time, I'd treat him to a track day at either Anglesey, Donington or Castle Combe

Hell, get your car there and I'll give you a weekend at the Ring. Beat me round there in your car and I'll give you my SDI

Deal?

Oh and I'm not a cherry :haha:

My car is related to a Datsun Cherry - is that what he means ?

Deal?

No deal Mil.It's got a neon sign on the roof and a meter.:thumbdwn:

Challenge him for his wife's car:thumbup:

I think he was reffering to who is Toseland - but cherry...

How about we get Mil to the Skoda factory trip, I'm sure we can call off at the Ring post meet... :)

I was talking about Toseland. You guys really dislike the 2.0 don't you? Shame.

And Phil, your car is related to a Datsun 240Z, the founder of the Z range of car available and the car you drive today.

We have no problem at all with the 2.0. In fact its a perfectly adequate engine in the Fabia and I suspect it was even quite popular.

My car is related to the Micra as well, and the Note..... the list goes on. Sadly It deosnt share the same great family tree as your 2.0 which, has the Veyron in there somewhere.

Nope, I don't dislike the 2.0 it is, after all, a Golf GTI in ugly clothes

Your "race" was up to the dizzy heights of 45mph  My SDI would nail your car at those speeds, it is after all where taxis make most of their living :D

As for the cornering, I reckon my humble SDI would have you there too :haha:

I don't hate the 2.0, I think your far too defensive over it.

I guess I am just jelous and amazed at it's ability ;)

Walkie, just think we could both have saved a lot of money and bought a 2.0 Fabia - if only they did an open top version :(

Have angle grinder, will travel :D

Umm, no, that was after the lights up to the right-angle right turn that we hit 45 mph, after that turn ahead of him I hit 100mph before the S curve.

So there.

And yes my car rules.

I wis I had a camera in the back of my car, and in front, so I could record these events and put them up for you to see.

Mil, considering how cheap digital cameras are, why not keep one in the car to record your races. They're very frequent so it wouldnt' tak elong to prove yourself.

I'll gladly host them for you.

Mil, are you sure you don't have a turbo? To go from sub 45 to over 100 in less than 150m (probably about 120m) is going some

Was it this bag of spanners?

http://www.mustangheaven.com/stangspecs/2007/06shelbygth.htm

I luuuurve this performance pack quote

 "Ford Racing Performance Group is supplying its popular Power Pack (FR1) to add a genuine 25-horsepower Ford performance kick to the 300-horse Mustang GT 4.6L V-8/Five-speed automatic transmission powertrain and an increase of 10 lb.-ft. of torque."

Edit to say...I do actually really like the Mustangs and they are pretty cheap

I have a camera, but I can't hold and race at the same time, on Dubai roads, that's suicide. And most of the time I'm alone in the car. And no I don't have a turbo in my car, it's just fast.

Had a go with another Furby 2.0 driver today, yellow one and lowered...he came right up my *** fast and was literally kissing my bumper...so I dropped third at 80km/h and pulled out about 6 cars ahead.

I'll keep my camera in the car and the next time I race I'll try and record it. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Mil you should be on stage mate

it's 4.68 seconds.

Mil, I've just done some rough calculations and I'm at a bit of a loss - what engine does your car have in it? You can do 45-100 (70-160) in less than 6 seconds. That is pretty quick, what gear is that in?

If we now take a 0-45 time of lets say 6 seconds, your car does 0-100 in about 12 seconds :eek: As a benchmark of 12 second cars 0-100;

Your car is faster than:

Civic Type R (16.9)

Renault Clio 182 (17.5)

Mk 5 Golf GTI (17.9)

Mk 5 R32 (15.2)

Nissan 350Z (14.8)

BMW 330Ci (16.6)

You're roughly equivalent to:

Aston V8 Vantage (12.0)

BMW M3 CSL (12.0)

Skyline R34 (12.5)

Cayman S (12.2)

456M GT (11.6)

Can you see yet why we disbelieve your claims?

it's 4.68 seconds.

Damn, his car just got quicker - sub-11 seconds to 100

That is damned fast, you really must be a driving god to contain the wheelspin of that much power off the line or is it the super grippy Falkens helping out?

Where does the Mustang fit in with that little lot?

Chris
