When you do go again do you fancy take a standard Red Octavia and it's driver with you. Obviously we share the car. :D[/quote']

Certainly!

I'll hopefully be going later this year and will be taking a certain SMART roadster along and either mine or a BMW :D You'd be more than welcome to join myself and knobcheese

Hi Folks ; )

Good to see and read that you all have enjoyed the trip and you all made

it home safe

This Ring trip was bigger as the last years one but I bet it will be smaller

than the next one ... I still can´t wait to see you all again.

It was a big pleasure to meet you all and to see the ones again, which I

already got to know.

Martin and I have been happy, that the toolboxes have spent the weekend

in our cars and have not to been used one single time ..

( As well I had the feeling, that Martin was a bit bored with no problem to

solve :D )

Thanks to the ones who took me around and introduced me to really lovely

cars.. Special thanks to Dave and Max..

If anyone wants to see the place, Dave has mostly been seen :

I'm going over on the 1st-3rd October(sunday-tuesday) if anyone is up for it.

And as Carsten said i'm sure the next years trip will be even bigger!!!

I'm waiting for the everyone to start volunteering me to organise it!!!

I'm hearing a rumour that someone may have left their car over there - Anyone know any more?

Yes your right,

Sean's car was left over there due a problem with his thermostat.

He got a lift back to the UK with Andy_CCR.

Although they got stuck because of the tunnel and didn't get home until 3am(to Winchester area).

I think the AA are going to be flying him out to collect it.

Ahh - yep that's kinda what I heard.

Do you reckon he will sneak in a few extra laps when it's fixed...:P

Just got a text from him, Head Gasket, Water Pump and Thermostat.

Ouch.

Didn't realise it was that bad,

well if i was going back i'd get a few laps in no question.

So Beretta, when are you going to be allowed to go then?

Anyone match the whale choking speed of the SDI? Sub-9 BTG. Or the old 1.4 at 8.32? :D

40 laps ain't bad' date=' my "record" for a day is 32 laps and for a weekend like yours is 68 :D

Not sure when I'll be going over again, prob mid-end Oct.

Glad you all got back OK and had a good time [/quote']

I was cracking out some 9 minute laps Jon, and I reckon if I take my set of extra big balls with me next time, I could be around the 8 + 1/2 minute mark. I still have alot to learn about myself, my car, and the track yet.

Damn it's so addictive......is it next year yet? :D

I could be around the 8 + 1/2 minute mark.

When you've got your M3 i guessing...............

Did 8'19" in an E36 M3 :D

No, in the Octavia.

It never rains......

Skoda dealership out there want €1800 (£1200). Spoke to Mike @ IP - he is saying between £600 and £700. Could get AA to repatriate but they want to assess situation blah blah - so I might just go out with a trailer / truck and drag her back to IP.

Joy!

BUT.... bloody great weekend apart from that (even though I was only a spectator). Excellent fun til the Octy died. Great people as well. My thanks to WrightyRS for organising the whole bash and sanity checking me when the Octy carked it, his mate Ross for nearly killing me with laughter in the bar Sunday night and, especially, Andy_CCR and his mate Martin for bringing us back, feeding us country slices, keeping us laughing and the free Gecko!

Sean,

sorry to hear its turned out to be worst than we thought, but glad you had a great time.

Get the AA to repatriate it, and get them to deliver it to Mike.

You've paid your money for a service provided by them so use it.

Also see you soon for a beer.

Am now sat at work, absolutely gutted that I'm back here :thumbdwn:

I saw the signs for Blackpool yesterday and my heart sank. I wanna go back :(

Was good to meet a few more people, and I'd like to thank Roo and Lee for entertaining me pretty much the whole time, between you you're hilarious!! "guns don't kill people, wappers do!" haha!!

thanks for organising it Alex, it was ace! :D

Well all i can say is thanks for all coming along.

I am very pleased that all went well and everyone enjoyed themselves, i'm sure its a weekend most of you will not forget as it was your first trip there, like loosing your virginity i guess, never forget the first one/time.

If and i'm sure this will be the case that a trip will be organised for next year then i don't mind doing the deed.

I would do everything as i did this year and stay at the same place but maybe a different weekend which may mean taking a couple of other days off work so the place is a bit quieter.

But we'll see nearer the time.

What ?? Why didn

Carsten,

we didn't find out until we got back to Centre Parcs and Sean had called the AA/ADAC by then and they were on there way out to him.

They then decided it needed looking at so it got collected on Monday morning.

Lots of photos from the weekend are appearing now, I'll post links as i find them.

I'm talking with the AA mate, that is the preferred option. They have to assess the current market value etc. As she cost

Lets hope its not to long then,

if you need any help with anything just let me know.

So Beretta' date=' when are you going to be allowed to go then?[/quote']

When I get a fast car....................;)

Bit awkward to the ring this time with a broken foot..:D
