What were you driving at 18?

Featured Replies

First car was an estelle 130 with 136 engine chuffed up its bum.

Had a cam, weber 40 side-draught carb, and a nice exhaust.

With a few choice suspension and brake upgrades, it was a dream to drive.

Only detracting thing about that car, is it had a vinyl roof, and the paintwork was 'vw transport acrylic' lol.

As we bought it..

god i miss it soooo much

Not trying to show my age but looking back into the mists of time I remember a circa 1955 Commer Cob van, (company motor) and a Ford Anglia, my motor, "sit up and beg" around 900cc with a 3 speed box, you had to put your knee behind the the gear stick to stop it jumping out of second!!

That was followed by an Austin A30 803cc new carb , knew someone who worked at MG's at Abingdon and a side exit exhaust. Early mods???

A s reg Nissan Micra Twister 1.0 in apple green!

Nice choice of car mate, giving it some air!

Excellent! If I remember rightly, the KR1S was the fastest of the bunch,ie,RGV,TZR, etc.

Strokers were all the rage a few short years ago,and it was a great time to be into bikes.I only ever had two strokes, starting with a DT 50,then an RD 80 (little water cooled wonder from Yamaha),then an RD125,then a TZR 250,then briefly an RD500,(which I hated) then the best of the lot,the RGV250.

Great times,,allspeeds, microns, Stan Stephens, ahh the memories......:)

Right I win...................I had a E-reg Fiat UNO 1.4 sx:rofl: (don't forget the sx).

When my brother slammed the door, it fell off....................!!!! I also put the jack through the floor!!!
