My fuel consumption was around 45mpg for the whole trip.

This was averaging a steady 80-85 in general, with obvious bursts to "XXX" in the delimited areas. We made plenty of frequent stops though, which hampers the overall average, but when you're making good time, there's little point in hammering it for too long. It pays for safety to stop for 15 minutes every couple of hours, to refresh a bit.

I guess that equates to 10 miles per litre, which is 16 kilometres per litre, which is 6.25 litres every 100km.

That sounds pretty fast !! What was your avg speed on your way back and how about your gas consuption ?? :confused:

On the way back we weren't doing silly speeds as the manifold was acting up (ie falling off ) of the Red Baron - we did 721 miles in 8 hrs 50 mins which was an average speed of 81.6mph - that was Prague town centre to Calais including all stops. I think the fuel econ was something like 35mpg? Can't remember exactly

Been talking with Steve this aternoon about the posibilities - it's all up to you guys if you can make it over.

For us to make it work and get more people at the meet it would be better if it were over a weekend.

It's easier for us to come to you as most of you live in or around Praha whereas we are dotted about all over the UK. We are also not blessed with the kind of runway heaven that you guy's are and the health and safety brigade would consider it far too dangerous anyhow :thumbdwn: .

Best thing we could perhaps offer is for you to join us at 'Trax' one year (that would be an experience for you!!) but that coincides with Doksy in September. What about you coming to us in 2008 for that then?.

Plenty of tracks , but nothing free like you have over there

You’re right, Steve. No matter where you are in Czech, it is still around Praha . That much is our country small.

Trax would be perfect or maybe a handling day as most of the CZ cars are fabias. At least they won't be intimidated by Silverstone........or The Beast, obviously Skylines are fair game.

I'm hoping it's going to be apartments again but I cannot do anything until we get the dates confirmed. My best guess at the moment is the weekend of 15/16th September 2007.
