Now' date=' I've never driven or even closely examined one of these cars but the [b']impression[/b] I get is that they are for people who wish to buy into the whole 'BMW thing' but lack the cash and are willing to purchase a motor that is inferior to alot of similarly priced vehicles just to get that 'BMW thing'. For instance, the last Compact (not the one with the bag of spanners rear end) was based on the previous 3 series hence it was out dated at launch. I stand to be corrected.

I would also like to say that I believe BMWs to be good motors. A lot are sold on the badge (eg 316/8, what is the point?), but their high powered saloons are world class. From what I can gather, with the exception of this rabble on the M5 forum, we have more of a problem with the drivers and it's been mentioned before but most of them drive a de-badged 318.

Lots of love and getting into my stride,

I agree with you on that, although there are a few pilloks who have too much money for the max power sect and just go straight for the ultimate dickhead machine, even though they are good cars, it is people like these that give them their reputation. sadly they are in the majority when it comes to beemers.

Not good Jeff. Let's try and keep it civil. After all' date=' they own cars, we own cars. We have so much in common. :D

We don't want them to say we have chips on our shoulders do we?[/quote']

fair enough.

it was meant for the ones that seem to go on and on about i raced this car or that car and think that anyone cares.

I once came close to buying a new MINI, glad i diddn't, anyway if i had the money i would buy an AUDI. Not a big fan of mercs or Beemers mainly because there are too many of them around, although i do like the Chris Bangle designed cars.

Ditto.

devil's advocate argument:

setting aside the 'skoda is a korean car made in europe' viewpoint, is the thread there anything other than 'a nova tried to race my RS/my skoda scalped a.....' etc etc. - just on a more expensive scale?! (where we are now the nova or the scalpee)

ladies play nicely am sure the nice boys in their BMW's will be more than able to bring their toys out to play on track with myself and Jon and see who it is that has to bow down and take it like a man....... :D

I know, but it is the attitude, wew don't really bother with saxo's aned the like, but theirs is full of cars like the skoda octavia, which even the vRS has far less power than the m5, and then just go slagging it off because it is a skoda and relyig on the same old reasons that went out with communism.

Huck, you are just too reasonable by far.

Anyway, it's fun :D

i know mate.

for me, a  will suffice and i'll leave it at that.

one them has linked to this thread as well.

That would be Gustav - one of their mods... :D who am sure will be as entertained by this thread as we were by the one on his board! and im sure puts as much time and effort in to his site as people do over here... so be nice... I for one would love to be on track with the M power boys... will be just like the 'ring!

yeah i noticed that bit, oh defender of the briskoda faith!

... so be nice...

hear, hear!!

oh dear...what ****heads. Surely it would have been cheaper for them to go to a plastic surgeon to have their ***** size increased (beyond 3 inches)and their fat 60 year old guts liposucked, rather than having to spend £50k+ in order to pull some totty who's only after a sugar daddy?

i know this is not an argument amongst ourselves but please try to keep it civil.

My thoughts exactly. A little leg pulling is all good.

Hey, that's what I said, only I wasn't playing devil's advocat, I was being serious! :P

Traffic Light Grand Prixs prove nothing except who has least disregard for their licence and other road users. You lot are both as bad as each other...

Rob.

Priceless, that, Rich.

I thought the M5 was a motorway.

Considering most drivers round the way don't even wait for the lights to change to "red+amber" before driving off, I'm not even going to try!

And leave my knob out of this... :P

Rob.

oh and for peoples info.... it would appear that neither mine nor Jons M5board accounts will work.....

Probably a bit embarrased about the fact that their penis extensions are slower than your penis reduction.

Oh the shame of losing to a Skoda :D

Spoilsports. :thumbdwn:

Scared of the competition :rubchin:

In fairness to the BMW forum thread, there were a lot of replies casting Skoda in a positive light :)
