lol I aint a snob, I just think it's too fussy. I like the Fiat Grande Punto, Kia Sorrento and Kia C'eed if that's any help.

The FIAT is sooooo pretty:thumbup:

Im pretty sure that it will handle like the Vectra VXR, all show and no go (around corners anyway :D)

How come EVO magazine rate the Vectra VXR as a very good car that handles well?

And RenaultSport Clio's cost over £16K with no added options?

A pretty car with alot going for it,but for me i'm waiting to test drive the new Civic Type R, and then hopefully Honda will bring out an RR version.

But whatever i consider its got alot to live up to,the Trophy is a pretty hard act to follow.

I reckon that Corsa would be a right laugh on the test drive, but a b1tch to live with every day.

Well the official verdict is in.. SWMBO says.. the Corsa VXR is too roundy and the interior is to fussy, she prefers the Kia Cee'd

Prefer a GTI Polo by a yard and a half.

Think Vauxhalls VXR stuff is as bad as Rovers MG stuff, fast or not.

My comments weren't aimed at you as you were merely commenting on aesthetics. I was replying to comments such as those made by Manguish.

I know evo said that it handled well but did you see top gear when clarkson was driving it :eek: thats why i dont think that it will be much cop if the Vectra handles like that

So what you're saying is that if you can't drive then the car doesn't handle well ;) Remember that Clarkson also complained that the Elise was too understeery :rofl::rofl:

Lol.

The wonders of the internet.

It's a Vauxhall.

I drive a Skoda.

How can you possibly call people snobbish who drive Skodas.

At the end of the day it's a 3 door SMALL car. 16K for that - you'd be mental.

If this was a ferrari forum i might agree with you, but then we'd be ripping it out of skodas too.

I really don't care. If you don't like my opinion fine, i don't really care, i don't know you and to be honest you are entitled to your opinion too - but i'm not commenting on yours am i?

It's a free world last time i checked, snobs and all. :finger:

Still a Vauxhall at the end of the day. But the statement would have stood for any small car manufacturer.

/runs off to hide behind snob shield.

I like it...

Will be added to the list of cars to look at when I get rid of the fab. Plus since its a corsa, I can convince the girlfriend its cheap to buy and run;)

I like it, and cosidering otehr cars in its class, the price tag isnt that high.

Not too keen on the interior and as many have said, i bet the handling will be shabby like every other vxr vaux.

One good thing to point, if the vxr performance centre map it you will still keep ya warranty intact along with a few other tuning bit ya can get from there.

ill be tempted to take it for a run when i comes out.

Lol.

WOW! You seem to have taken my light hearted comment pretty hard!

How much is a Polo GTI with ONLY 150bhp!?

I quite like it myself. If I had the money, and for some reason had to get a new car, it would be a car I'd look at for sure. But I could get a used (obviously) FRS for that money, and for me there's no contest

Ooh,only about

That's harsh....

Rovers were poo whatever frock they were dressed in...

I thought you were talking about the yellow thing in your sig, Steve (the links are broken by the way), so I voted no, I hate it. Then I looked at the right link, and I need a third option "I don't hate it quite as much as that yellow thing".

Does that help? :P

Have they got their figures right...190bhp from a 1.6. Sounds a major handful to me. But I like it!

yeah i like that, looks pretty good :)

steering wheel similar to new S3 and RS4 designs

Looks good, although I'm not overly keen on that exhaust tip or that way OTT interior! I prefer VAG styling for the insides of cars. :o

I think the Astra VXR looks better, slightly more aggressive. But 190HP in a small car like that does make tingle down below!!

ahem!

Justin, are you TinTin's brother?

i'd say it would be noticbly faster in every respect than a mk2 vRS but cheaper and easier to park.

But my wife, 2 kids and dog are gonna be pretty cramped in there :D

I know, I know, I'm not even close to the demographic but I really don't like the look of it. Probably a great laugh to throw around a track, tho.

Top Gear:

flat-bottomed steering wheel,

Surely the flat bottomed steering wheel is to make it easier for the pregnant 14 year old Chavettes to get behind the wheel?

flat bottomed steering wheels in many of the fast Audis now
