Well weighed the spare wheel and jack etc.. and it comes to just over 20kg so 3.2 stone?

Not sure if this is worth not rolling with a spare.

It's wet out at the moment so no point going out for a test, reckon I'll notice it?

:)

probably would only notice such small gains on a track tbh. only if you went extreme you may notice a small increase on the road but not masses

Shifty, good savings on weigth but bad side is the engine and road noise gains.

what about this?

cheers

I just know i'll get a flat now I've taken it out too!

Might drive to work and back tomorrow and see how I feel. Doubt i'll notice any difference but would be nice.

Its not a bad aspect. It makes it more hardcore. The thrill of driving is enhanced. Not ideal if you commute or transport the family etc, but i dont :)

Shifty, I use the car as a daily driver so i can't remove anythig from it, BTW why the second antenna on the rear of the Fabia?

cheers

TV :D

TV :D

Give me the TV, that'll save you some more weight :)

Have you shed any components from the engine bay, battery cover, engine shroud, under bonnet sound proofing? I imagine if you've stripped the interior down that much then under the bonnet has already had the full treatment!

There's just something about this Fabia that's just right, can't place my finger on exactly what it is though....

Skodavenezuela - stop reading these threads. Will only lead to extra expense :thumbdwn:

Enjoy your car.

Re: the tyre sealant - most garages won't be very happy if you use this :thumbdwn:

Best you take your lovely lady out and forget 'saving weight'

Well thank you :)

Yes, no soundproofing or engine cover etc under the bonnet :)

Wanna compare techniques ? :D

Get some tips

have you actually removed any wieght from over the front wheels to stop the understeer shifty?

It doesn't understeer, I have a Jabba ARB on the back ;) It is nose heavy, nothing I can do about that, but understeer I don't find a problem. Combination of good tyres, 17" wheels (40 profile) and the ARB maybe partly or wholly responsible.

Understeer isnt an issue when driven properly :D

Before this car was "hardcore" when it just had remap zorst and filter with spare + rear seats out it could pull about 2 car lengths on me to 100mph from a rolling start, and i had marginally more power than shifty back then... off the line it could crucify mine due to the sticky tyres.... that thing will be damn scary now!

Shifty, have you considered putting in perspex windows? Would this be possible?Bit extreme but that seems to be what your all about! Im guessing you could at least do the back windows?

I have thought yes, but the lamp pod aside, i like the oem look, and perspex windows may give the game away :)

I'll be having the rears tinted soon to hide the fact i have no interior.

I think u leaving everyone for dust will give the game away! Off topic completley, Is your car lowered 40mm? Which springs did u get?

-25 mm eibachs :)

Maybe a mod could split this into two?:D

Is that the eibach pro kit? thats what iv bought, getting them fit next week! Could you notice a difference when you had them fit? iv also got the rear ARB getting fit at the same time so im hoping the difference in driving will be substancial!

The difference with the springs and arb will be like night and day. You will love it, guarenteed.
