Featured Replies

Advice to Furby Vrs owners - get an Octy vRS - faster, bigger, better looking and better handling. I only pay £250 pa for insurance :rofl:

I'll get me coat and feck off :D:D:D:D

Are you going to get me the pipe and slippers for my 50th? :D:D

Because:

a: You sound responsible

b: If you have a crash, the mods get fixed too, and your insurer doesn't invalidate the policy.

I used to have an Ibiza a good few years ago, with a few mods. Nothing special- a Momo steering wheel and some alloys. Someone drove into it, and the wheels (steering and road) were damaged. The bodyshop didn't thing they'd get fixed, as they assumed they weren't declared: they were, so I got them fixed.

Thats the point though i declared my wheels and 12months on its still not sorted. The wheel that was damaged was unable to be fixed and they dont do the wheels anymore, so iam still waiting for a cheque.

Iam responsible but when you pay roughly a grand more to declare all the mods i have and it doesnt get fixed/sorted i just think whats the point.

Didnt you get that with the octavia or was it an option? :D:P

One of the most conceited answers I've seen in ages. "all it had going for it' ? Shows you know nowt about the Fabia.

Try -

1) Good price

2) Excellent residuals

3) Superb economy

4) Good performance

5) Good handling

6) Excellent build

7) Very reliable

I'm one of those you talk about 'documenting' it's minor faults but that's not to say it's $hite and that's how you always seem to come across with the Fabia. Maybe I should say that the Vauxhall Monaro is for people who can't afford a real sports car, or maybe that's a bit rude.

conceited

conceited
Don't get it ? Conceited ? I don't have a favourable opinion of my abilities, or maybe you meant to use another word ?

An option - along with the heated seats to help my Farmer Giles :o:O

nope, it was your use of the word that confused me...I don't see how Phil expressing his opinion based on a half day loan was conceited. His reply contained nothing more than observations

His opinion of the Fabia is always negative and he is the one who's conceited, not me.

Half a day loan ... don't make me laugh, he's always knocking the Fabia and nobody seems to mind or speak up.

Skoda owners would be silly to knock one another, it's not as if each cars parts bin is unique...

I'd imagine quite a few use the ignore feature ?

sadly col has yet to add the "ignore all posts by Fabia owners" button

No, Phil makes some good points. The Fabia is a rubbish car.

Still, at least no-one will nick it.

I feel sorry for Goochie actually...

You ARE are what you DRIVE apparently - and the anagram of Monaro... A MORON!! :D

Coincidence??

Can't be

As a former Furby vRS owner myself I can understand where everybody is coming from... they are pretty cool cars in thier own way... I'd use the term quirky :)

They're not the fastest, the best handling or best looking cars in the world... but they sure are fun to drive; and more than capable of swatting an iritating boy racer away at the lights ;)

As for the Furby bashing on the Fabia Thread... ain't you guys got nothing better to do?

I thought that when I parked it in Liverpool visiting mates it was OK because it was parked in a well lit area ?

LOL

You're funny :D

You remind me of me when I was stupid... you'll grow out of it? ;)

to be fair he is from cumbria so well lit area is probaby a sight for a lad where they still light the streets with gas.....

That's because like you Goochie is also entitled to his opinion and just because it differs from yours doesn't make it wrong.

are you f*****g joking? you're not allowed to even hint that a Fabia vRS is anything less than awesome at everything without getting an e-kicking for "slating" it!

a half day test drive isn't enough? how long does it take for people to see the light and realise that it's all the car anyone could ever want or need...

Hilarious thread as well as pointless.

The car is a good one and we should not be slagging it off in its own Forum....should we????!!

Yeah, why not...

Fabias are rubbish, and I'm a crap driver.

Everyone else is great, and I'm a feckwit.

This forum is getting more like a nursery school every day, it's pathetic.

( Just my opinion, which I am entitled to.)

Opinions are like ar$eholes - everybody has one :):):):)

I just find it amusing that the Fabia is mainly a **** car to the members who have never owned one.

I think Octavia's are ****, but you don't see me banging on about it do you? Don't even get me started on teh Gayster.

Anyhow, carry on playing kids...

Opinions are like ar$eholes - everybody has one :):):):)

You've lost me there.....

If you agree with me, thank you.

If you dont, feck orf you getriatric Scottish buffoon:rofl:

( That was a joke btw:))

Maybe alot of young, dumb british males are buying vRSs (not just Fabias) thinking they are the ultimate handling machines, chipping them, then crashing them spectacularly!

...long live testosterone!, let it decide insurance premiums for many years to come! :thumbdwn:

This is not a new phenomenon. It has happened with nearly all popular performance badged cars that the common person buys, XR, RS, GTi, GTE, GSi etc etc
