I see that there are refills on e-bay, says they are genuine Passat items they have n/s and o/s. I don't think they are as cheap as the ones already mentioned in euros.

Just fitted the refill to my wipers. Parts counter man said I needed 1-1K0 955 429 A and 1-1K0 955 429 C, which I questioned and he said that one was drivers side and that the other was passenger side.WRONG:( Still I managed to get the end cap off without breaking it. I will be going back to th VW dealer tomorrow to show them the difference in end caps and also order the rear wiper refill.

So, just to clarify everything:

1) Parts are not listed with Skoda, Got mine from VW, Cost me £11.57 inc VAT

2) RHD cars will need 2-1K0 955 429 A

3) LHD cars will need 2-1K0 955 429 C

4) Rear wiper refill is part No. 7E0 955 425 (will check with VW if this is for both R and LHD)

Part No. 7E0 955 425 is a Skoda part No. for the complete blade not the refill. Just taken old rear wiper apart, easy enough, then tried reassembling it, what a pain! not worth the effort of trying to find the refill part No.:(

I'd bet they don't sell to many of them as they don't make it public knowledge about them....thats from my experience anyway. Did you try the number without the letter at the end?

My VW dealer didn't have them in stock, but ordered them on a Thursday and they arrived on Saturday. I don't think they stock them because not many people know about them. They should be able to order them in for you but expect to pay upfront as it is a special order.

Mine cost approx £12 for the three.

I ordered 2 of the 1K0 955 429 A from Specialist Cars in Aberdeen on Wednesday - not in stock but will be availalble to pick up on Friday.

£4.92 each (im assuming ex VAT).

I went down to the dealer, and 1K0 955 429 A was coming up as 700mm each and used on the Sharan and Golf Plus, i.e. something massive that sweeps from the A-pillar.

I was given a separate P/N that the guys down there have fitted to Mk5 Golfs, which I'll post up later (left all the stuff at home when I came back).

The pair appeared a bit more expensive than the prices posted up this afternoon though; around £12 for the front pair.

Hi Wardy, got that alternative part number yet? I'm hoping that this will be in stock at my local VW dealer. Actually, this is all a good test of my local VW dealers (in the event I ever jumped ship from Skoda), so far, I'm less than impressed. When I called my Skoda dealer, they took all my details and called back with an offer to have the parts ordered especially for me (full wiper unfortunately, not just the refill) and as one of the employees lived near me they said it could be dropped off at my house!

Anyway, I ordered 2 x 1K0955429A and 1 x 7E0955425 from my local VW dealer and they came to £17.35 inc. VAT. They were a special order item and they arrived 2 days later. The parts guy told me that the rear one is for a Sharon. They were fairly easy to fit (after cutting down the front ones to size) and are working very well. OP has been thanked.

Correct, if you are fitting to a Golf Plus, Sharan or Touran which is what these part numbers are for.

I ordered a pair of 1K0 955 429A from my local VW dealer yesterday and got a call this morning to say "your parts are in, Sir." Went to collect them this afternoon and found I was being given 1 x 1K0 955 429A and 1 x 1K0 955 429C; Doh!

On investigation turns out that these cars have 'scissor' type wipers (both parking in the centre and sweeping up & outward to the screen pillar) hence the RH & LH clips.

I took a view that I would somehow be able to get one of the clips off my wipers and reuse it, so bought them anyway. Cost was £11.56 inc VAT.

As I was there I asked 'what is the part no. for wiper refills for a straight Golf Mk V (same wipers as the Octavia) and was told 1K0 955 429 and this gives you a pair of refills in the one pack. Forgot to ask the price though.

So hereon in you just need to ask for this; one x 1K0 955 429

Thanks for the offer , but got them changed late this afternoon without disaster, so now have one spare myself.

One point I noticed is that the profile of the refill is slightly different to the one I have removed; looks as if it will be OK though and doing a couple of test wipes the new blades show up how worn my existing ones were.

AFAIK the rear unit I got was the exact same as what my skoda dealer had.....so maybe just as easy to get it off them. Btw the rear isn't just a blade, it also comes with the connector on it

I can confirm that this is the same part number the VW guy looked up for me too But mine didn't come in one pack! He came back with two rubbers and no packaging

My invoice says 'V895 955 429 A' A2C1 WIPER BLADE RUB QTY: 2 £5.43 +VAT each.

My local VeeDub dealer were only too happy to help, saying that they'd use them themselves on various models. I kept it simple by saying they were for a Golf though :P

One I think, they're in the car and Mrs Dodgy is out in it.

1 per pack in mine, but they came with the plastic piece for either a Drivers or Passangers wiper arm, is this the same for you Dodgy?

I ordered 2x 1K0 955 429 B. Came with 1 rubber blade and caps for either arm, so I now have a spare of each on hand. Too bad I'm 2000 miles away.
