None that I'm aware of or noticed. Purely did a scan with VCDS to be nosey and to make sure it's working after my laptop died.

 

Not even sure what it relates to apart from something to do with Front driver assist.

I´ve done a bit of coding on my MY16 Octavia Scout (needle sweep, LED license plate lights, trunk electrics etc) and are terrified if I have damaged some controller or ecu.

I can´t remember but I don´t think I´ve coded anything in 5f. I believe I´ve only coded needle sweep, fog lights cornering off, LED license plate and some trunk electrics.

So this issue is fixed in version 15.7.3 - however, how do you fix it if the head unit is missing menus?

By grabbing an adaptation map from an identical car and comparing and restoring the differences. If you captured a map before you started you might be able to sort it out from that.

Sadly I did not capture a map.

 

However, in addition to never coding anything in 5F, I do not think I have used VCDS versions prior to 15.7.3 - so why I got that fault code I don't know. Took a complete scan today and no code showed up. I have a thread in the Ross-Tech forum so I'm waiting a reply there.

I have this error appear on my car, if I clear the DTCs it comes back. I have modified my MY16 car using VCDS but I was defo using 15.7.3 at the time as I didn't own it before then I have only enabled traffic sign recognition. Does anyone else have this and should I disable traffic sign recognition? I have no issues with the MIB2 menu or anything else, it all works just the below error.

As one of the tech guys at Ross-Tech said, it may be because one of the sensors / cameras in the front of the car is covered with dirt during rainy / snowy days. I sometimes got a message while driving that said "low visibility acc". But the thing is I highly doubt that a fault code will appear just for this.

 

Seanantenbring: If you only have used VCDS 15.7.3-> you, like me have nothing to worry about. At this point I do not believe the fault code is related to this problem anymore.

So after 16 days at the dealership they concluded that the fault code most likely comes from when the sensor is dirty / covered and the message "low visibility acc" appears. As for the long 16 days wait they sorted out a couple of other things as well.

So I still get this fault code and now there is no snow or dirt to cover det acc sensor. I do believe that maybe this is related to the traffic sign recognition.

Excellent information James, thank you very much. There is a lot of people wondering (as I googled) what this issue is so it sure is good to hear a fix is coming. Though I do not know why/what just yet.
