12V Car accessory socket/cigarette lighter port is always on and Dash Cam
The OBD plug is fine it only has two or three pins, pin4 for ground, pin5 for signal,pin16 for power supply it affects nothing else.

Dashcam fitting
Its like everything, you must do what you are comfortable with.

Kamiq Mirrors, improving the view.
One particular manouver is the accelerating to warp speed down the On ramp and cutting across all three lanes. Extra view provided with an extra mirror could save you from a nasty collision.

SOS Error Message
Thank you PoloPaul and Stewarttv, I usually put the car (ever since I have had Stop Start) on charge every 3-4 weeks, especially if I am only doing short journeys.

SOS Error Message
Oh Sugar! I had an SOS error this afternoon, I didn't have time to read it properly. I got home and parked up then had to reverse slightly, turning the ignition back on cleared the ( ! sos) reminder. Now what? I think I will put it on charge.

12V Car accessory socket/cigarette lighter port is always on and Dash Cam
I am sorry, I have called it Rearguard which is wrong. It is the Rearmaster Switchable universal OBD cable CHECK that the usb plug is suitable for your brand of Dash Cam, for instance my cam is mini usb. From Amazon, it may be available from other retailers.

Kamiq Mirrors, improving the view.
Cars on motorways often accelerate past anything on the inside lane when joining the motorway from the down ramps.

12V Car accessory socket/cigarette lighter port is always on and Dash Cam
I only went on the information supplied by the manufacturer, on Amazon. The cable I used was called Rear Guard, I had a problem with my first cable but there was no bother they refunded straight away . I ran the dash cam updates and bought the same make of ODB cable again and it worked! Dash Cam is a Nextbase 312GW

Battery causing various errors

Fuel consumption digital display
Yes I can change between the screens but I don't think I have mood lighting. But then I have never had the lights on except for the running lights 😃
-
Fuel consumption digital display
As I said the dials on my screen are red, I was mistaken they have red circles inner and outer.

Fuel consumption digital display
I like this all black screen, mine is predominately red and looks cheap

1.2 TSI Sudden knocking noise!
I had a single tough leaf in my heater fan that made a din like that

12V Car accessory socket/cigarette lighter port is always on and Dash Cam
I used an OBD cable it switches on/off with the ignition and has a parking switch module that monitors battery charge and auto-turns off to save flattening the battery. Rearguard from Amazon Does it have the latest software update? my new nextbase needed 2 updates.

Kamiq Mirrors, improving the view.
I watch for the radiator grill and continue to overtake until I have counted five then look signal and pull in. But we are more concerned with seeing who is overtaking us! especially on the inside but moving out to overtake on a 3 lane motorway can find you involved with a car from the third lane moving back into lane two. That is what the extra mirrors are all about.

New replacment tyres
I rather liked the Goodyear Efficient Grip but my Yeti were both Front Wheel Drive

Wonky C/Control
It is designed for a quick cabin warm up, as it carries a lot of warm moist air which will "steam" up the colder window glass. I use air con. and balance it with the heater to make it comfortable and as mist free as possible.
-
Wonky C/Control
I use aircon to clear the car, never recirc. it doesn't take the moisture out of the air and the car fugs up.

Ideas for a ‘stealth’ TDI 2.0?
A friend of mine took his Ford and asked if they would tweak it to make it run at its optimum without affecting his insurance. They updated his engine map to the latest software for that model from Ford, job done. Smoother, more flexible, slightly better fuel consumption. I had a similar experience with my diesel fFocus, the engine had stopped dead with no warning on two ocassions, leaving me and the wife in extremely dangerous situations. I gave the car back to the dealer and told them to keep it until they got it sorted. To give them their due they kept it for a week and tried allsorts including the latest updated engine map. It turned out to be a fuel tank vaccuum caused by the fuel cap. The car was duly returned and absolutely flew and at no cash cost to me.

Engine Oil, how much do I need
Thank you that looks very neat, we always pumped oil out from machines to avoid the mess and make recycling easier.

Engine Oil, how much do I need
Is the suction pump electric or hand operated, I have not seen one in Aldi before.

Stop/start - didn’t realise you could restart using the steering wheel!
I thought it was telekinesis 😉🤣 If i let go of the steering while waiting it restarts as soon as I think "they are moving" and get hold of the steering wheel.

New clutch fitted and engaging on floorboard Yeti 2013 4x4 TDi CR 140
I would be inclined to get a second opinion on the clutch operation, without prejudicing the outcome by saying why. AA or another garage technician from a different Skoda unconnected dealer.
