  1. I have just had another sos message thats three now, two in the same location, it must be catching.
  2. I think that led life is taken as the led being switched on and left on for the stated period. Being switched on and off shortens the life.
  3. A friend of mine had similar problems, his workshop went straight to the fuel line filter as the most likely cause and the cheapest starting point, problem solved.
  4. Lucky it was not this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXY9yi2RzS4
  5. My Monte has aircon this is a button next to the heater knob and the fan speed knob.
  6. I was watching this Top Gear video, for once fairly serious; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kIS4J0XUO0
  7. That sort of cap can be used to cap pipes on new units pre-installation.
  8. Surely if it starts but does not run its electrics or fuel
  9. My last towbar for a Fabia was well over £1k, never again. Why not look into the roof rack options.
  10. I just noticed that on the linkage above it there is a what appears to be a hole for a split pin, without a split pin.
  11. I have an older Ring RAC, digital display, inflator was about £23 It is the best inflator I have ever used and has been going for many years now. I have used it on two Yeti, a Fabia and at least two other Ford cars and caravans. I think it is over 85 watts
  12. I quite like the Nissan Canto(?) it sings! There was an article by a couple with a new Nissan Leaf on the MSN page and really their only gripe was recharging. They planned their routes to include charging points then arrived to find many out of action or queues of the local electric cars doing their normal recharging. Aside from the huge initial price that is my main worry, the constant niggle at the back of your mind that you may not be able to recharge. One driver freely admitted having a petrol car for longer journeys.
  13. Putting an index finger on the key blade helps to guide the ignition key, remembering whether the keyslot is horizontal or vertical helps as well. I have even seen stick on hook velcro used as a guide.
  14. Welcome Justbob, I have had two Yeti, best car on the road, look after it and it will look after you 😀
  15. Prestone or VW screenwash, I do sometimes use Halfords concentrate. *Tablets I found they sometimes crumbled rather than dissolved this caused blockages so you still needed to carry water* https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product-reviews/65265/best-car-screen-wash-2021
  16. I did start with "I was told" I had this happen to me at a caravan park at Braunton it was pouring with rain, it worked.
  17. I was told, Run your windows fully down then back up fully to "reset" the system, or the computer won't know where the windows are.

I live quite happily with my lane assist; I am aware and expect Lane Assist to have an input in my day to day driving I have learned what it does and how to use an indicator to cancel the effect if needed I do not feel the need to whinge I just get on with it ..... how about You? If you turn it off how does that affect your Insurance as you have bought a model with it as standard equipment
  19. I had low battery problems, with stuff shutting down coupled with an actual radio fault. I put the battery on charge (C-tek) once a month at the moment due to low usage, and colder weather.
  20. I use a switch cleaner when I break and remake plug connections, it is strange how many problems it helps disappear 😀
  21. I always try switch cleaner/lubricant on electrics before spending lots of money. I can remember sawing switches open and repairing copper tracks, a lot of work that a quick squirt of the master chemists blend of chemicals can sort in a trice.
  22. Thank you NeilRW, I get some strange things happen with a usb stick. I have right angle 'C' to usb short cables in both the 'C' sockets and every thing holds its breath when I fit the usb music stick. "Simply too clever" I think.
