Felicia 1.3 mpi oil leak
Before presuming I needed a new cover gasket I'd check the torque on the cover bolts is right. I've fixed several similar sounding leaks that way for no money and next to no time.

Update on my project. Engine rebuild
I wondered that too; It occurred to me that "chazz" could be a typo for "chaz", which is short for "Charles". But the only reference I could find to a scientific or technical use for Charles was in Charles's Law which is gas dynamics and not electrics.

Installed a remote locking unit on passengers side door (wrong), now it won't lock from the drivers door central locking
I don't know that this is the case here, but central locking systems usually unlock themselves in cases where the control unit detects a non-working lock.

Jacking - a lump of wood!
A piece of dressed wood, rather than scaffolding plank. Asking nicely in a timber merchant may get you something suitable for free.

Skoda Forman 135L: Black Smoke, Rough Idle and Fuel in Oil
KenONeill replied to NichiBlembom's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanWell, exactly that.

2WD combi wheel alignment
I'm not totally familiar with the Superb's front suspension, but it sounds plausible. Also, if you have to move the subframe to adjust the caster it will affect both front wheels.

Skoda fabia stalling issues
Maybe. I'd get a deep load test from a fast fit place that will do it for free, conditional on them getting the business if the battery fails this test.

2WD combi wheel alignment
@Gyp @SurreyJohn @freelunch I'm not justifying the main stealer's business practices, but I honestly am happy to justify a Hunter operative's time when a car needs adjustment.

2WD combi wheel alignment
Yeah, and what a main stealer will have done is got a quote from someone with a Hunter rig and added a markup plus a charge for the apprentice to take your car there and back. Still, doing the job right on a Hunter will take an hour or so. As for the tyres, the main use for Pirellis is propping up the brand name part of tyre test tables.

205 or 225 tyres on Vrs MK1
Well, 205 was the widest tyre fitted to any Octy1 as stock, on Elegance, L&K and vRS models (some vRS hatch, but not all, have 17" wheels).

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
I thought most EVs were charged as follows:- Put EV on charger. Go away and have a 3 course lunch plus coffee, and a look round the shops. That's typically how I see them being charged, not just Coarsers and Leaves.

Cranks but will not start
Which suggests to me that you may have a fuel flow problem or no ignition.
-
Seat comfort for shorter drivers....
Well, I've never driven a Superb, but I can say that it is easily the most comfortable car I've ever been a passenger in.
-
Cranks but will not start
How fast is it cranking? Does it sound like it it is trying to start or not?

Now about in the front, behind the badge?

Tyre rotation
Well, I have had a police officer tell me that oversteer had been caused by front tyres more worn than rears! (BTW the oversteer did happen, which is why I'm less than convinced by "better tyres on the rear".)

Briefly losing power
I think about £120, since you can't buy the sensor without the pedal mechanism attached.
-
Briefly losing power
As I said way up thread, that's where the throttle position sensor is.

2021 F1 Discussion
Who cares? It comes with chips.
-
Tasteful exhaust upgrade
Er, that's like asking for a petrol engine that can really do 200 mpg. It just can't be done. Any aftermarket zorst will sound like someone just f@rted and increase your insurance without making the car actually go faster.

BTCC
At minimum, the Tidy One owes Jade and Glynn a new shell each. Kudos to Jade for counting her limbs, and then worrying more about Glynn than about herself though.

Start Stop problem
This, or you have an undiagnosed power drain, see above regarding a DVM.

Eco Mode
@Sanqhar @e-Roottoot I was originally treating it as a question of "good driving practice" and was always taught that "coasting in neutral" was "bad driving practice". I was pointing out that, without the so-called "eco mode", you can slow down and/or descend hills more economically by following good practice, and letting the fuel shut-off do its thing. Unless you have a regenerative braking mode on a hybrid or battery electric car, you'll not get more economical than moving forwards using no fuel.
