Octavia 2003 Bolero head unit Apple Car Play upgrade
Yes, this is the USB below the A/C controls. From your post I can see Bolero 5Q0035842x (x - any letter A, B or C) or 565035842 is enough, the question is on the display (both 6.5" and 8" have the same resolution 800x480 pixels). I can prepare such unit in Plug &Play version if required.

Octavia 2003 Bolero head unit Apple Car Play upgrade
So now you have Bolero MIB1, with Bluetooth, with DAB, part number 5E0035842, with USB 5Q0035726B and fortunately you don't have CANTON sound system. You can install one of four different OEM glove box units: - MIB2 Bolero - MIB2 Amundsen - MIB2 Columbus - MIB2.5 Columbus You also need to replace display unit: - for MIB2 Bolero you can use either 6.5" model number 5E0919605H or 8" model number 5E0919605N - for MIB2 Amundsen and MIB2 Columbus you can use listed above display as well as 6.5" model number 5E0919605J, 8" model number 5E0919606, 8" model number 5E0919605M - for MIB2.5 Columbus the only display unit that works is 5E0919606D If you would like to use Apple CarPlay then you also have to replace USB port. The question is what is your budget and which of listed below features are "must have": - Video playback from DVD, USB, SD - CD playback - OEM navigation - displaying OEM maps in Virtual Cluster (Active Info Display). All units support SmartLink (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink), rear view camera, voice command. features that differ them: - MIB2 Bolero - no OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB - MIB2 Amundsen - OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster) - MIB2 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, no support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster) - MIB2.5 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster)

Head Unit stolen, 8 year old Yeti, what should i do?
No worries, we can start here :) First of all, you have a lovely car - I had Yeti too, 2016, and I beleive it was the same colour (Lava Blue). I'm really sorry for your loss. I can see he was not in rush - I can even say he was quite nice as he didn't cut the cables... I can't even count in how many cars I had to repair cables that have been cut... It seems to me you had Amundsen without DAB. If you share your VIN then I can check details and prepare a detailed offer for you.

You are probably right. It seems like a typical problem with dry joints in Power PIC - it must be resoldered.

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
@Balazs yes, you will get color grid menu. All check your PMs for dwonload links. Just a reminder: 1. format SD (best max 32GB) under FAT32 2. unpack to root (metainfo2.txt and all the folders must be placed directly on SD, not in any folder) 3. insert SD card into the slot 4. enter Service Menu (long press MENU button)

infotainment update
Looks that your EMMC is faulty - it mnisses some files, probably due to faulty sectors, and I guess this was the root cause of your probelms. If I am right then unit can be repaired either via manual formatting of EMMC or, if this doesn't help, exchange of EMMC chip. What is your location?

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Yes, you can, but in every case unit requires patching of swdownload first - if you have AMundsen then you can do it from SD card with MIB STD2 Toolbox, if you have Bolero then unfortunately glove box unit must be disassembled and soldered. Nope, you are already on the latest firmware available.
